This morning the RNAA brought together 50 of Norfolk’s senior leaders to focus on breaking down the barriers to improve food security across our region.

RNAA collaboration at its best. Uniting voices, expertise and ambition to support the future of Norfolk’s food and farming.

The session was brilliantly chaired by Emily Norton, Chair of AHDB, member of the UK Government Climate Change Committee and RNAA Trustee, who guided a forward‑thinking discussion shaped by real‑world case studies from Andrew Blenkiron of Elveden Farms, Harry Barnett from Norfolk Environment Food & Farming, plus Matt Smith from Place UK.

Key themes and asks included:
• Stronger collaboration between Government and farming groups
• Championing UK food and farming at every level
• A ‘can do’ culture that drives action
• Strengthening political decision making
• Faster pathways from research to farm practice
• Regulation that supports progress

Here's an insight into a constructive and energising morning, taking step towards a more secure food future for Norfolk.

🎓 And have not previously attended the Oxford Farming Conference

Today we say a heartfelt thank you and goodbye to Jacob Stirling, who is moving on to a new chapter after several years at RNAA.
His dedication and professionalism, teamed with his unique sense of humour, have made a lasting impact on our team and the agricultural community.
We are incredibly grateful for everything he's contributed and wish him every success in the future.

This afternoon, Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association members enjoyed a tractor and trailer tour of the Salle Park Estate, hosted by Farm & Estate Manager Andrew Peal.

This unique visit offered an inside look at the innovative approaches and technology shaping the estate’s farming techniques.

As we travelled across the farm, members saw these techniques in action and learned how the Salle Park team is adapting, innovating and working collaboratively to meet the challenges and opportunities facing modern agriculture, including the need for reservoir installations to future proof watering solutions.

Dominic Swan, Data Analyst and Technical Manager at Catalyst Farming, also shared valuable insights into the utilisation of data captured from trials in the field, plus exciting future farming partnerships and projects aiming to maximise the farms yields.

A brilliant afternoon of learning, discussion and insight for all involved.
