Supporting the farming community extends beyond the farm gate.

We're pleased to share that RABI's Return to School Grant is now open, providing £200 per school-aged child to help eligible farming families with back-to-school expenses.

Please share with anyone who may benefit from this valuable support.

RABI’s Return to School Grant opens Monday 15 June at 12pm, offering £200 per school-aged child aged 4–16 to support farming families with back-to-school costs.

There are 4,000 grants available across two phases:

➡️ Phase 1 opens Monday 15 June

We are delighted to announce that the Glitter Ball, held at the Norfolk Showground & Events Centre on Friday 1 May, raised £25,000 for our chosen causes: Norfolk Community Foundation’s Nourishing Norfolk project and the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association’s educational mission.

A total of 520 guests, including many business and local community leaders, generously supported these causes, alongside our principal sponsors, KNP Litho and Korutek Engineering, as well as supporting sponsors Woodforde's Brewery, Williams and Rose, Best at Bars, Richard Jarmy Photography, Delta Fire, Interprint, Notcutts Garden Centres, and many others who kindly donated raffle and auction prizes, including Janet Harrowven of White Ribbons. Thank you all for your generosity and support.

The fantastic atmosphere on the night would not have been possible without the support of Huxley Events and the entertainment provided by Tim FitzHigham, High on Heels, and Ruby Flames.

Our partners at the Norfolk Community Foundation would also like to thank you for so generously supporting the Nourishing Norfolk initiative and helping local leaders ensure that vital provision and support are available to those who need it most. Yesterday, we were delighted to host our AGM – an important moment to reflect on our work and how we positively impact the food production sector in the eastern region.

We were pleased to hear a powerful address from Tom Bradshaw, sharing valuable perspectives on the current challenges the industry faces.

We also thanked Poul Hovesen for his dedicated service during his presidency and, we were proud to welcome The Rt Revd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich, as our new President, and Sir Norman Lamb as Deputy President.

Later we heard from our amazing RNAA-funded scholars Georgia Oliver and Harry Winslett, who presented the findings of their research.

Today we had the honour of attending the licensing ceremony of Norfolk's Rural Chaplain, The Revd Dr Tim Weatherstone, conducted by The Rt Revd Dr Jane Steen, Bishop of Lynn.

Tim’s appointment, generously funded through charitable donations managed by the RNAA, will initially span 2–3 years. During this time, he will continue to grow the chaplaincy while helping to establish it on a strong and sustainable footing.

With over 14 years as a vicar in rural Norfolk, alongside previous experience in both the agricultural sector and IT, Tim brings a unique and valuable perspective to the role. He needs very little excuse to visit farms and rural businesses—so do invite him to your part of Norfolk!

A wonderful afternoon in the sunshine, rounded off with tea and cake kindly provided by Norfolk Food Hall.
