Sometimes you need to stop long enough to actually think about where you’re going.
Our Founder, Chantelle, recently completed the six-month Momentum Leadership Programme, delivered by Ripple Acts through FUSE Network CIC and it was honestly unlike any leadership programme.
‘Rather than focusing on how to do more, be more productive or squeeze even more into an already busy working week, Momentum gave me something much more valuable:
Space to stop and think about who I am as a leader and as a human.
To think about my values, what gives me energy, what drains it, what really matters in my work and, importantly…
What am I actually here to do?
When you work in the charity and community sector, it’s so easy to get caught in the day-to-day. Funding pressures, growing demand, never-ending to-do lists and constantly wanting to do more for the people around you.
Having dedicated time once a month to step away from that and reflect was incredibly valuable.
There was breathwork, brilliant conversations, connections with other local leaders, lots of thinking, plenty of laughs and, importantly, excellent snacks. 😂
A massive thank you to Louise, Verena and the Ripple Acts team, Fuse Network, Norwich Unity Hub and Carrow House for creating and holding that space. ❤️
Leadership development doesn’t always need to be about learning how to do more.
Sometimes it’s about having the space to remember who you are, what matters to you and why you’re doing it in the first place.
