You may spot some new table tennis bats and balls in the village!

The Friends made a one-off donation to replace the damaged bats and balls so that the children of Aldborough Primary School, along with the rest of the community, can continue to enjoy the table, which we’re grateful to the village for maintaining.

A joy to be part of such a quintessential village gathering at Sunday’s Village Fayre, with the wonderful sense of community spirit that makes Aldborough so special — neighbours coming together, past and present pupils and parents, all supporting the school and celebrating village life.

Congratulations to the winner of our 100 square fundraiser — number 33!

Bolwick Hall was very kind to us!

Drum roll 🥁 please…..

*We raised £1505 profit (after expenses).
The amount needed for a much needed new school hall 100” TV!

The day’s takings surpassed all of our expectations and it came with the bonus of great company and glorious weather!

A BIG thank you to;

• Bolwick Hall for having us and providing the opportunity to run a significant fundraising event, with the most stunning backdrop too!

• our very own Tracey who spent extra time in the kitchen baking the delicious traybakes - which completely sold out 10mins before close!

• and of course all our parent volunteers who made it look like we do pop-up cafes every day of the week!

So many visitors shared fond memories and stories of their connection to Aldborough Primary. It was impossible not to feel proud to be part of the latest chapter in the school’s long and special history.

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported our school. We’re incredibly happy 😊

We’re fortunate to have enthusiastic readers with generous family and friends at Aldborough Primary!

Our recent Easter Readathon raised a staggering £1035.55.

Every child received a certificate and four lucky winners were drawn at random to win a £10
