Women who sleep rough are still being missed!

The Magdalene Group is once again taking part in the Women’s Rough Sleeping Census to help make women’s experiences of rough sleeping and hidden homelessness become more visible.

The Women’s Rough Sleeping Census 2025: Missing Women, led by Single Homeless Project and Solace alongside Crisis and Change Grow Live Norfolk, found as many as ten times more women sleeping rough in some areas than official government snapshot counts identified.

Now in its fourth year, the census uses a gender-informed approach across 101 local authorities to build a more accurate picture of where women are, what they experience, and why they are so often missed by official counts.

Our team are conducting early morning and late night outreach to places to reach women, by contributing local insight from Norwich, we’re helping to strengthen the evidence base and support better responses for women who are too often unseen in homelessness data.
