It’s a lovely morning for a walk. Sunny, with some cloud and a gentle breeze. See you all at 10am in the Community Centre car park.

Here's the route I plan for this Sunday 14th meeting in the Banham Community Centre carpark for a 10 am start. It's a nice easy route and a great way to get into walking if you re starting out. The weather should be dryer on Sunday according to the weather app so fingers crossed.

We take the walk at a steady pace with plenty of chance to chat on the way. What do we talk about? Anything I suppose but we probably steer clear of politics. After all, it is supposed to help create a feeling of wellbeing. It's not a therapy session but chatting does give everyone the chance to be their authentic selves and it's remarkable how this can make one feel OK in oneself.

It is time for another walk I think! Next Sunday morning meeting at 10am in the Banham Community Centre carpark for a walk round Banham. Our walks are at a leisurely pace, 4-5 miles in distance and last between 1.5 and 2hours, ending with coffee and some cake. It's a great way of getting to know your way round local footpaths and chatting to people as you go.

Also, as it's midsummer, how about a pilgrimage to the Kenninghall Red Lion on Thursday 18th, setting off at around 6:30.

Please email [email protected] if you fancy joining me.

Last Sunday’s walk was really pleasant. The weather was kind and not too warm so that we were able to chat comfortably while we walked. I am planning our next walk on Sunday 14th June and welcome any suggestions as to where anyone would like us to walk.

Also, what do you think about an evening walk from Banham over to the Kenninghall Red Lion on one the long June evenings? Anyone up for it?

We may be lucky with the weather this morning to our walk around Fersfield airfield. It’s fifty-fifty that it may rain so something waterproof is recommended. We are meeting at 10am in the Banham Community Centre carpark and walking at a steady pace. Just over 5miles and around 2 hours at a nice steady pace. Plenty of time and enough breath left for chatting.

I look forward to seeing you all.

Our walk for this Sunday, 17th May, will take in Fersfield airfield if we all fancy it and the weather is reasonably agreeable.

The walk is around 5.3 miles and will take us just over 2 hours at a leisurely pace. Good footwear is highly recommended, along with some waterproofs just in case, and speaking personally as a follicley challenged chappy, so is head covering.

These walks have been proving great for getting people chatting while taking in exercise and fresh air. Gentle exercise and feelings of connectedness that walking and chatting with companions are well known to help improve wellbeing so if you fancy joining us, please let me know. We take time at the end for free a free cuppa and some biccies so knowing the numbers is really helpful.

These numbers ARE worth ringing if you ever feel that there is no hope.

It promises to be dry on Sunday morning, but cooler than the last few days, for our walk. Comfortable footwear and good socks are highly recommended to avoid any nasty blisters and something waterproof in case it does rain. We set out at 10am from the Community Centre carpark and will take a 1.5 - 2hrs at a guess.

See you all then.
