Caroline gave a talk about our trip to the Sussex Central Active Trefoil Guild. Some of the ladies made Lesotho flags and some made their own version of the traditional Lesotho hats! Lots of fun was had by all. Here’s a few of the finished results 😊

So the project didn’t stop when we left Lesotho in November. Wendy gave her fifth talk today, to her largest audience yet. Twenty five Trefoil members came along from three local guilds, and enjoyed the talk following a short Thinking Day ceremony.

Wendy had a lovely time last week talking to some Kings Lynn Guides and Rangers about her trip to Lesotho. They asked lots of questions and were fascinated by some of the display of things she had brought back with her.

Wendy was the after dinner speaker at a Guide Leaders training weekend, telling them about the trip. She made sure to let people know about Tredoil Guild too, and is hoping to develop an evening meeting group so thise that can’t make afternoon meetings can now be members too.

Wendy is reunited with her luggage, two days after we all *arrived home safe and well from our amazing Trefoil Guild TOPAZ Lesotho 2024 trip. Thank you to everyone who supported us, including those who donated towards the trip. We worked with some amazing girls, and have raised the profile of Girl Guiding and Trefoil Guild considerably. Many girls have signed up to join Guiding, and we enrolled the first group of women as Trefoil Guild members, ready to spread the word and set up units where they live. And we will continue the legacy with a big project - details to be announced soon. *Caroline arrived safely too, but had to rush off to get her coach home, so want in the picture.

We made our final ( very tight) connection for the Zurich to Heathrow flight, but it’s not the final leg of our journey as a team. We’ve been asked to help advise on the 100 years of Girl Guiding in Lesotho celebrations for next year, and we’re in contact with the British High Commissioner about a project with him and the Queen of Lesotho - watch this space! And now we’re all looking forward to getting home. Thanks to all our friends, Guiding friends and of course our families, who have supported us in this journey- we really do appreciate it. However, I can’t promise that we will stop talking about it any time soon 😘
