Prospero World

Prospero World Promoting positive change and social change through education, collaboration and action. Please contact us for further details.

Prospero World is a Registered UK Charity (1163952) aiming to empower positive change through education, collaboration, and action. We do this by teaming with other groups and individuals, by producing events, presenting research on exceptional established and emerging charities and building networks to support charitable giving and philanthropy. We were founded in 2007 and since then we have work

ed throughout Africa, India, South East Asia and the Middle East. Today, with over a decade's worth of research and experience informing our work, we are committed to strengthening the charitable sector through our Fiscal Sponsorship Programme. Our Fiscal Sponsorship Programme allows us to share the benefits of our charitable status, with organisations who are not constituted as a charity in the UK, but whose work and mission is closely related to our own. Prospero World is committed to strengthening the charitable sector, to sharing best practices and to empowering pioneers to champion the causes they care about most. Our Fiscal Sponsorship Program is aligned with the United Nation Sustainable Goal 17: Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development and Target 17.1: Strengthen domestic resource mobilization, including through international support to developing countries, to improve domestic capacity for tax and other revenue collection.

A beautiful full circle moment for our Adopted Charity The Glasshouse Botanics .

Their beautiful gold award-winning garden at Chelsea Flower show last year has
found its permanent home at HMP Downview, a women's prison where it offers something rare: a space that contrasts with the prison environment, rich with sensory elements, a connection to nature, and the possibility of better outcomes for everyone who steps inside it.

We are so proud to support The Glasshouse and the extraordinary people behind this project.

This is what horticulture as a force for change looks like. 🌿

At Prospero World, we're dedicated to empowering small charities and charitable projects that strive to make a real difference in the world.
We know that for many organisations, the process of registering a UK charity can be daunting, time-consuming, and simply not feasible given limited resources. That's exactly why we created our Charity Adoption Programme. Our programme supports non-UK registered charities and charitable projects whose work and mission aligns closely with our own β€” providing the structure and backing needed to operate effectively, without the burden of setting up a UK charity from scratch.
If this sounds like something your organisation could benefit from, we'd love to connect.

🎬 This summer, young people can make real films β€” and we couldn't be more excited to share it.
As proud supporters of our adopted charity Young Film Academy , we want to shine a light on something special: their Residential Filmmaking & Screen Acting Summer Camp 2026.
Taking place just 2 hours from central London, this all-inclusive residential camp gives young people aged 13–17 the chance to immerse themselves fully in the world of film β€” whether as a filmmaker or a screen actor.
By the end of camp, every student will have:
πŸŽ₯ Created or starred in a finished film
🎞️ Screened their work at a cinema-style premiere
πŸŽ“ Gained industry-standard training from film professionals
πŸ’‘ Built storytelling, confidence and creative skills that last far beyond summer
Camps run 2–9 August and 9–16 August, with a two-week option also available. Places are open now.
At Prospero World, we believe in the power of the arts to transform young lives β€” and Young Film Academy does exactly that, year after year. We're honoured to support their work.

Meet the founders of our Adopted Charity The Trojan Women Project
Charlotte Eagar and William Stirling are the brilliant team behind the project. They came together through the love of story-telling and to give asylum seekers and refugees a platform to share their stories through theater, film and conversation and to build connection through loved experience. We are very proud to support them on their journey. Our adopted charity, was recently invited to the BBC take part in a BBC Prison Radio programme β€” broadcasting across the entire UK prison network β€” to speak about how gardening, nature, plants and cooking have the power to shape lives, both during and after custody.
Stories like this reach the people who need them most. Directly. In the moments that matter.
We hope everyone who listens is reminded of their value β€” and their potential. πŸ’š
So proud to support The Glasshouse Botanics through Prospero World.

Around the world, farmers, Indigenous communities and rural families are being pushed off their land and cut off from their water β€” and when they dare to speak out, they're met with intimidation, legal harassment, and silence.

That's where our Adopted Charity Roots2Justice comes in. They stand alongside grassroots communities β€” in Asia, Latin America, and now Africa β€” providing legal resource hubs, Best Practice Forums, and regional networks that turn isolation into collective power.

No one should have to fight alone for the right to their land and livelihood.

If you'd like to support their work, here's how far your donation goes:

Β£25 β€” translates a practical guide into a local language

Β£75 β€” funds a community knowledge exchange session

Β£250 β€” supports a community leader to attend a Forum

Every pound creates real change on the ground.

Congratulations to Scarlett Chapman who has been nominated a Big Issue Changemaker of 2026! Her campaign Mission: HOME is one of our adopted charities which she launched as a grassroots campaign working with Brighton and Hove to identify small council-owned β€œmicrosites” for new social housing. The first proposed site would create four permanent homes.

At just 15 Scarlett has been supporting people affected by homelessness since she was 8yrs. She started busking in Brighton to raise money for local charities and has raised a whopping Β£10,000 since she began.
