Mothers' Union Norwich A local expression of an international membership organisation - serving Christ in our community

Mothers Union is an international charity with a grassroots membership of four million people each serving Christ in their local community – your local community – through prayer, financial giving and actively volunteering to bring grassroots support through programmes designed to meet local needs. Membership is diverse: Members are not all mothers, or even all women. Single, married, parents, grandparents or young adults just beginning to express their social conscience. In 81 countries of the world they bring a Christ-inspired humanitarian response to the needs of families around them.

Lord, as the days become more frantic and we lose sight of the the things that really matter, help us to slow down, to pause and remember the family that is grieving today, the single parent unable to privide the presents others recieve, the plight of the people of Gaza, Ukraine and Sudan, the lonely and the sick. In the busyness we can so easily forget to thank you for our many blessings, and to remember that the greatest gift of all is LOVE.

Lord, we lift to you the 265 children and their teachers abducted from a Catholic school in the Niger State. We pray that they will be unharmed and returned safely to their families. Amen

Lord God, we give you thanks and praise that a ceasefire has been agreed between Israel and Hamas.

We pray that all hostages will be released, and the agreement will be honoured on both sides.
We pray for those whose loved ones may not return, for those that are sick and needing medical attention.

We lift the people of Gaza to you, praying that food and medical supplies may now flow into the country and their homes restored as soon as possible. May they know a true and lasting peace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
