Future Projects Supporting people in need in Norfolk through Future Support, Education and Radio

Future Projects is a charity active in helping children and adults experiencing multiple and severe deprivation in Norfolk. We work closely with those in crisis, and those which other agencies cannot or do not reach for any number of reasons. Our services began in 2000 when two local residents witnessed young people committing anti-social behaviour on their local housing estate in Norwich, and dec

ided to act. Sixteen years later we employ 35 people and support around 170 volunteers to work in some of Norfolk’s most deprived areas, providing localised support directly where it is needed through our community venues.

Thank you to Huggabubba for a huge donation of baby items 💚

So many local families we support struggle to afford daily living costs. So, the added burden of providing essential items for new babies can be a real challenge. The prams, stairgates, travel cots, bed guards, cot bedding and dehumidifiers will be a real help!

Huggabubba are a local supplier of children's furniture and essential items, check out their website here: https://www.huggabubba.com/

We are looking for two new trustees to join our board and help us build on our impact.

We run three interconnected services: community support and advice, a specialist school for children with SEND, and Future Radio - Norwich’s community radio station. Last year alone we delivered 1-to-1 support for over 1,000 people in need, supported 44 children with complex SEND, and had 39,000 people tune in to Future Radio each month.

We'd particularly welcome experience in HR, Education (especially SEND), or Operations - but if you have something valuable to bring to a purpose-driven board, we'd love to hear from you.

For more details please message: [email protected] or apply below.

Local people know their communities best.

That’s why we’re really pleased to share this opportunity to apply to join the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board, helping shape long-term investment and positive change in the local area.

At Future Projects, we believe in listening to communities, understanding people’s needs, challenges and strengths, and building services around what people say matters most. Pride in Place is a real opportunity for local communities to lead the conversation and help decide what happens next.

You don’t need previous board experience, and support and training will be available. What matters most is your connection to the area, your ideas, and your commitment to making it an even better place to live.
