The Attleborough Players placed third in our Norfolk Day Photography Competition this year!

Attleborough Players offers a safe and creative space for local people to take part in theatre and experience the arts within their community.

Their image captures a moment from their recent production of Shrek the Musical, supported by a grant from Norfolk Community Foundation. The production brought strong community engagement and inspired new members to join.

The judging panel said that it captures joy and excitement of all the different ages and backgrounds coming together to perform for their community.

"It is important for dads to talk, and Dadvengers gave us that space."

Many fathers tell us they feel overlooked or unsure where to find support that speaks directly to them. Through the Wellbeing Support for New Fathers and Fathers-to-Be Fund, local organisations are helping dads build confidence, connect with others and strengthen relationships with their children.

For James, a first-time dad, Dadvengers provided a welcoming space to meet other fathers and have honest conversations about parenthood.

Strong relationships at the start of life help create the foundations for a better childhood.

We’re proud to have worked with Norfolk County Council (with HM Government funding through the Start for Life and Family Hubs programme) to deliver this insightful, groundbreaking programme to build stronger families in Norfolk.

Even when students get the results they wanted, they can still struggle to access the right further education, training or jobs they deserve. This summer, more than 200 competitors and over 120 volunteers came together for the Norfolk Superhero Challenge, raising an incredible £233,000 to help children and young people get active.

The Challenge is part of a three-year partnership with Norfolk Community Foundation that has now raised more than £400,000 for the Norfolk Superhero Fund.

That funding is already helping local organisations remove barriers to physical activity. One young person supported through the Sprowston Youth Engagement Project has grown in confidence, built positive relationships and progressed into an Under-18 football team.

The Matthew Project placed second in our Norfolk Day Photo Competition this year!

The Matthew Project provides health and social care support across the East of England, including services for young people, people facing addiction and members of the armed forces community.

The image was taken during a YouCan residential trip at How Hill, showing young people and staff spending time together outdoors as the sun set, without phones or distractions.

The judging panel praised composition and colours, and said that it shows tranquillity and a supportive community being together in the moment.

"Without this support, my son simply would not have been able to play this season. It has given him a real sense of purpose and belonging."

For some families, a membership fee or the cost of kit can be enough to stop a child taking part in activities they love.

Through Subs for Clubs, we help remove those barriers. So far, the programme has supported 369 young people across Norfolk to access sports clubs, creative activities and community groups.

Small grants can open the door to confidence, friendships and new experiences.

Sharon will be at Pets At Home Norwich Sprowston today, talking to customers about how our food hubs keep families well fed - including pets. Pets provide comfort, friendship and routine, and are an important part of many families. By donating a parcel, customers are helping people across Norfolk care for the pets they love during challenging times.

From 12th to 31st August, customers can purchase a pre-made pet food parcel in store, which will then be donated to local people through Nourishing Norfolk food hubs, thanks to Blue Cross UK.

This partnership is a great example of communities coming together to support one another. If you're visiting Pets at Home Norwich this summer, please consider adding a donation parcel to your shop.
