The SOS Bus is a multi-agency initiative set up in 2001 with a mission statement to - ‘meet the needs of any person in Norwich’s city center at night. A first point of contact for those whose well-being is threatened by: inability to get home, illness or injury, emotional distress, or other vulnerability.’

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FRONT-FACING AND BEHIND-THE-SCENES!!

Are you over 18 years old and keen to make a difference?

Do you want to be part of an amazing team of dedicated individuals who have a huge range of professional and life experiences to share? Yes?

Then being an SOS Bus volunteer might just be the role for you.

The time you give to the SOS Bus will not just help individuals but also helps the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital’s Emergency Department, East of England Ambulance Service and the police by reducing unnecessary hospital visits and ambulance call outs and freeing up police officer’s time. If volunteering on the bus isn't your thing, we need volunteers to help behind the scenes. Check out our website for the roles available here🇨🇮

The SOS Bus, Norwich will be outside OneStop Norwich UK: Prince of Wales Rd tonight so if you need water, your phone charging, flip flops, help or support please come and see us.

We will also have a paramedic, emergency first responder and our support vehicle.

Sometime on our shift Friday night, someone thought it would be funny to spray paint graffiti on the back of the SOS Bus. So when one of our wonderful volunteers finished their 8 hour shift, which they don't get paid to do, they then had to clean graffiti off the bus. We are here to help anyone in need and this saddens us that someone would do something like this.
