Black 5 44871 is working the Railway Touring Company’s York Yuletide Express on Thursday 27th Available timings are below
The train is Double headed Diesel and Steam from Southall to Ely, where the diesel loco runs round and the steam loco takes the train the remaining trip to Norwich via the Wensum curve to turn the train the correct way. The tour looks to be without diesel assistance for the whole journey with a WCRC diesel based at Newark completing the journey to Norwich, the Diesel loco left behind then takes the train back to Southall straight away
