Black 5 44871 is working the Railway Touring Company’s York Yuletide Express on Thursday 27th Available timings are below

The train is Double headed Diesel and Steam from Southall to Ely, where the diesel loco runs round and the steam loco takes the train the remaining trip to Norwich via the Wensum curve to turn the train the correct way. The tour looks to be without diesel assistance for the whole journey with a WCRC diesel based at Newark completing the journey to Norwich, the Diesel loco left behind then takes the train back to Southall straight away

70000 Britannia and D9000 Royal Scots Grey have a second attempt at leaving the North Norfolk Railway tomorrow 11th November

Deltic D9000 will haul the train to Cromer, where Britannia then takes the train onwards to Crewe via the Wensum Curve avoiding Norwich Station.

The train is due to be hauled by Deltic Royal Scots Grey from Sheringham to Cromer with Britannia taking the formation to Crewe. Using the Wensum curve avoiding Norwich Station

If you are going out to see this move, please remain behind yellow lines at Stations, behind the fence along the line and behind barriers or gates at level crossings, trespass will only risk future steam movements.

It will be hauled between the Norwich area and Cromer by Deltic D9000 Royal Scots Grey which is also in use over the last two days 1st and 2nd November. Britannia will be leading Crewe to Norwich, Deltic Norwich to Cromer and Britannia Cromer to Sheringham

The route is Crewe - Nuneaton - Leicester - Melton Mowbray - Peterborough - Ely West Curve - Thetford - Norwich Station - Cromer - Sheringham

Tickets are still available for a trip with Britannia at https://nnrailway.co.uk/brit-f-c/ each ticket includes a single round trip with Britannia and unlimited travel on two other trains also running that day.

If you are planning on seeing the train on its journey to Norfolk please remain in publically accessible locations, behind the fence along the line, behind the yellow lines at stations and behind gates or barriers at level crossings. Trespass will not be taken lightly and will severely affect mainline steam operations.
