Calling all Crafters......

Pre-loved Craft De-stash Sale

Crafters Enabling Crafters

Evelyn Suffield House, Norwich, NR1 3LY
Saturday 17th October 11.00am – 3.00pm
Refreshments will be available on the day

Is your craft room bursting at the seams?
If you have items to donate, we’d be delighted to receive them at Evelyn Suffield House Tuesday or Wednesdays during opening hours.

We’re looking for:
**** Fabric (all shapes and sizes!)
****Wool and yarn
**** Haberdashery delights (buttons, zips, ribbons, trims, patterns, etc.)
**** Any other crafting bits and bobs and tools that deserve a new home

*** Please note ***
We are not looking for unfinished craft projects, tapestry, frames, craft books or magazines

*** The only rule ***
Items should be in good, usable condition but the sort of things you’d happily pass on to a fellow crafter.

OUT AND ABOUT: Wendy A on The Wirral
Wendy A says: We spent a few days at a camp site on The Wirral overlooking the River Dee Estuary. We also visited the Ness Botanic Gardens which look lovely despite the very dry conditions

OUT AND ABOUT: Tricia L at Impington Windmill
Tricia says: I went on a coach trip with the Norfolk and Norwich Horticultural Society to Impington Windmill which is a National Garden Scheme garden. As we know the weather has been very dry and the garden had suffered like everyone’s. The lady there made 40+ of us some refreshments and we may go back in the Spring when there should be a lovely display of Hellebores.

VWI Summer Festival 2026

Several Virtually Norfolk members enjoyed the VWI Summer Festival over the weekend.

OUT AND ABOUT: Anne N at Hardwick
Anne says: A visit to Hardwick Hall. A house that the sign says "is more glass than wall". It was full of tapestries, some second-hand that Bess of Hardwick had altered to include her family crest. Apparently, there were more tapestries in the attic and yet more in the V&A. One of her dresses was on display, as well as plates containing a message that made me think,,, if only....

Wendy says: We spent a very interesting day at the Old Ford and Rootes Day at the Gaydon Motor Museum. Lots of interesting vehicles to see.
