Norfolk Campaign Against Climate Change

11/08/2025

The Campaign Against Climate Change Trade Union Group has produced a new suggested motion for people to bring to their branches, to gain support for the Year of Action and in particular to the workplace day of action on Friday 14th November and the international day of climate mobilisations on Saturday 15th November. It also prompts branches to affiliate to CACCTU if they have not already.

The motion is on the CACCTU website at https://www.cacctu.org.uk/motion_affilation_yoa

More information about the TU Year of Climate Action is on the website at https://www.cacctu.org.uk/year_of_climate_action

Please do let us know if the motion (or a similar one) is passed, and tell us about any activities happening in your branch/trades council or workplace in relation to the Year of Action (you can email [email protected])

This branch notes - that as global temperatures rise, extreme weather events are multiplying, including heatwaves, drought and flooding, with the worst impacts on those who have done least to cause the crisis - that a rapid transition away from fossil fuels is needed to prevent catastrophic climate....

Message from someone at UEA

Hi folks!

We, at the UK Energy Research Centre’s Public Engagement Observatory (UEA), are conducting research on the many different ways through which people in Norwich and the surrounding areas engage with energy and climate change.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could spare a few minutes to help us with this by completing the survey and sharing across your network.

The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete, and participants will be entered into a prize draw for one of five gift vouchers worth up to £50.

The survey can be accessed here:
