Did you know it’s Norwich Trans Pride Picnic’s 5th birthday?! 🏳️‍⚧️🎂🥳🎉 Join us this Sunday 28th June to celebrate 🙌

It’s been a tough year for our community far and wide. We know it’s more important than ever to keep creating safe spaces for each other, our families and allies. We deserve joy, hope and connection amidst the pain ❤️

📆 Sunday 28th June, 12pm - 5pm
📍Waterloo Park, Norwich, NR3 3HX

WHAT’S ON:
🖌️ Workshops:
• will be hosting 3 workshops! (times TBA)
1. zine workshop by and .fried.rice
2. Community Portrait workshop by Alfie
3. poetry workshop by Amy Honeywell & cole
🎭 Performances:
•variety of drag and live music hosted and curated by 𝓓𝓪𝓷𝓭𝔂 𝓓𝓪𝓻𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰
•performances during 1-2pm and 2.30-3.30pm
🎨 Art Market:
• Don’t forget to support small businesses! From badges to prints, accessories and more there’s something for you 🛍️

GETTING HERE:
🚶♿️🚲 By foot/wheelchair user/cycling:
The address of Waterloo Park is: Angel Rd, Norwich NR3 3HX

🚎 By bus:
Buses 21, 22, 28, 29, 36, 37, 38, and 39 all stop close to the park on their way to and from the city centre. The park is marked clearly on the online map for the city’s bus routes.
21, 22 - Old Catton to the NNUH
28 - Thorpe Marriott to the city centre
29 - Taverham to the city centre
36 - Horsford to the city centre
37 - Hellesdon to Long Stratton
38 - Ives Road to Long Stratton
39 - Mile Cross to Lakenham

🚗 By car:
If you are coming by car please consider carpooling where possible. There is a Car Park which is accessed from Angel Road and three pedestrian entrances, Angel Road, Waterloo Park Avenue and Philadelphia Lane.

EVENT ACCESSIBILITY:
✅ Step free access and wheelchair user friendly tarmac throughout the park
🚾 Accessible toilets attached to the feed cafe
☕️ This is a sober space - please do not bring or consume alcohol or substances on the premises.

🎨 Artists: we’d love for you to sell your wares to the friendly folk attending the picnic!
🎭 Performers: The trans pride picnic isn’t complete without entertainment!
💫Volunteers and Stewards: Want to get involved and support the general running of the event?

Norwich TransPride stands firmly with every
Transgender person affected by these decisions, and with the many volunteers and members within Girlguiding and The WI who are themselves dismayed and heartbroken. We urge both organisations to reconsider their positions, listen to the voices of compassion and reason, and recommit to the values of equality, solidarity, and belonging.

Our community belongs. In every space, in every community, and in every organisation.
