Good afternoon Bowthorpe! My name is Sonia, and I'm the new lead co-ordinator for The Bowthorpe Neighbourhood Watch. We are relaunching our group and would like all those that follow our page to follow our new page and share it. We currently don't have any street wardens, however, we do have some local volunteers that are part of the team and are hoping to expand our number of members. If you or know of anyone that would like to be part of the team please get in touch. Please remember that if there is a crime in progress please call 999. All other non-emergency issues can be reported online or by calling 101. Our new page will be tagged in the comments.

We are aware of information that is currently being shared in regards to an allegation of an incident this afternoon in the Dereham Road / Costessey area.

Please do not speculate whilst the police investigation is ongoing.

Don't forget that you can always report any streets you would like to see a further police presence on the Police Streetsafe system.

Please be aware that due to the amount 9f rainfall experienced the last few days there will likely be alot of surface water.

Please take care on roads and footpaths and please post on here of any flooding you are aware of locally so others are aware.

It may take quite a while for the drains to deal with the amount of water currently going through the system.

We would like to apologise to the residents that were inconveniened by the alarms in the Clover Hill area yesterday evening and throughout the night.

This was caused by an issue with the fire alarm systems within the building site located opposite Ladysmock Way.

Whilst we had fire service attend yesterday evening, they had no access to be able to reset the system. We worked hard to reach someone to fix the issue, but we unable to get hold of any emergency teams.

We carried on working to rectify the issue this morning and we managed to get hold of a member of staff from Carter's who despite not being part of on call or emergency response has attended to fix the issue.

We will be having a meeting with Carter's, fire and Police throughout the week to put together a new plan of action should any further issues occur.
