It’s a real privilege to be able to sponsor these events.

Do you have a community group who’d love to pitch next time?

Or would you love to be in the audience to support these fabulous causes?

Well, put the 13th April in your diary & send us a message for more info 😃

Great new initiative for young people in the area.

✨🌱💻Introducing Study Space! 📖☕✨

As Time for Sport draws to an end this week, we are excited to get a new project - Study Space - underway from September 9th.

Our vision is that the Youth & Community Centre will be open as a quiet place to study, do homework, get support with wellbeing, work on CVs/applications together, or simply to relax, unwind and be. We see it being really chilled and low-pressure, but with a supportive team fully available.

We’ll be open every Wednesday from 5.30 pm – 8.30 pm until the Christmas holidays - using this term to find the best timings for our incredible young people.

It’ll be for everyone aged 11 to 17, and we’ll have drinks and snacks to keep us fuelled up. It’s casual, drop-in/out, and we’re really looking forward to getting started.

🎙️The final episode of Salt of the Earth is here!

This episode is all about Impact – the difference Rotary can make locally, internationally and in the lives of the people who get involved.

💬 We hear from Melanie Cotton one of our newer members, and hear about her experience of joining Weaver Valley Rotary Club .

📰 We shine a spotlight on Vale Royal Talking Newspapers, at https://vr-talkingnews.com/ whose volunteers help visually impaired people in our community stay connected with local news.

🌍 David William Buxton tells us about our support for entrepreneurs around the world through Lendwithcare

🎅 And we go behind the scenes of Santa in Northwich, as Nick Abbott talks about the work that goes into bringing some much-needed joy to Northwich families during the darker days of winter.

It’s a fitting way to finish the series – celebrating the people, projects and partnerships that show what Rotary is all about.

And if listening to the series has made you wonder whether Rotary could be for you, Melanie puts it perfectly:

“You’re under no obligation to join. You can just come to a meeting. You can come to two meetings and see how you like it, see how it feels for you, if it feels like the right fit.”

💜 Compassion has the power to change lives… and that's the heart of Episode 5 of Salt of the Earth.

This episode explores what compassion looks like in action – from supporting vulnerable people, to creating opportunities for connection, to discovering how giving back can also transform the person doing the giving.

You'll hear:
🍽️ Nick Abbott, a long-standing Rotary member, talk about the much-loved Seniors Lunch – an annual event that brings companionship, laughter and entertainment to local older people.

💙 Saskia Lightburn-Richie, CEO of My CWA - Cheshire Without Abuse, share how her organisation supports people affected by domestic abuse and the vital role compassion plays in helping people rebuild their lives.

❤️ We return to Nic for a deeply personal conversation about the experience that inspired his lifelong commitment to helping others, and why being part of Rotary continues to bring him purpose and happiness.

This is a thoughtful, moving episode that reminds us how kindness, empathy and human connection can have a lasting impact.
