DSN DSN, is now Deaf & Sensory Network and supports people in Cheshire & NE Wales with sensory loss.

Deafness Support Network (founded in 1976 as the Cheshire Deaf Society) provides a wide range of support and services for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people in Cheshire and the surrounding area. There are as many as 100,000 people in Cheshire - 10% of the population - who have a significant hearing loss.

🎉 Youth Vibe has arrived in Winsford! 🤟💜

We’re so excited to have launched our newest Youth Vibe group at New Images Youth and Community Centre - creating another inclusive space for Deaf children and young people, CODAs, siblings and friends to meet, connect and have fun together.

Our first session welcomed five young people, and it was brilliant to see friendships already starting to form. 💜

Youth Vibe is shaped by the young people who attend, with specialist youth workers providing BSL communication so everyone can get involved.

The new Winsford group joins our Youth Vibe clubs in Chester, Warrington and Northwich, with monthly activities and plenty of adventures ahead!

Through Youth Vibe, we’re committed to creating opportunities for Deaf young people to build confidence, make friends, try new things and - most importantly - have their voices heard. 🙌

Mud, sweat and a smashed fundraising target! 💪💙

A HUGE thank you to the brilliant team at MRD Technologies who took on Tough Mudder for DSN – and absolutely smashed it!

🏃 5K Tough Mudder conquered
💰 £2,000 target smashed
🎉 An incredible £2,160 raised

We’re incredibly grateful to the whole team for throwing themselves (quite literally!) into the challenge and to everyone who donated and cheered them on.

Every pound raised helps DSN continue supporting people who are D/deaf, have a hearing loss, tinnitus or other sensory needs, and their families.

Looking good, team! 👕💙

These T-shirts are heading to our IT provider, MRD Technologies, but the DSN team couldn’t resist trying them on first!

On Saturday 10 October, the MRD team will take on a 5K Tough Mudder to raise money for DSN in celebration of our 50th year. With mud, obstacles and plenty of teamwork ahead, they’re aiming to raise an incredible £2,000! 🙌

We’re so grateful for their support in helping us continue providing information, advice and emotional support to people living with hearing loss, tinnitus and their families.

Join us in wishing them luck and, if you can, please support their fundraising. Every donation makes a difference. 💜

It’s a welcoming space to meet others, share experiences and access information and support to help you feel more informed and empowered. Family members and close friends are very welcome too.
