Here is our chair person Amrit with a lovely thank you note from for our donation of chocolate boxes to the Children’s Ward.

Amrit has stepped in since the passing of her father Pummie who founded NPA.

This year NPA continued with Pummie’s legacy and donated chocolates to the hospital at Easter & Christmas time, as well as our annual fundraiser evening which was a black tie event in tribute to Pummie!

NPA want to thank everyone for showing their support and bringing the community together to continue to fundraise and participate with these kind acts of charity! ❤️🙏🏽

On the last visit our late chairman Pummie Matharu made to India in 2019, he had visited Guru Teg Bahadur Charitable Trust Hospital. Pummie was inspired to donate blood pressure monitors to the hospital as a part of their vital equipment.

Pummie’s brother, and NPA member Surinder Matharu made recent trip to Punjab last month and was pleased to fulfil Pummie’s last act of Seva on behalf of NPA 🙏🏽

100 Easter eggs & 2 big chocolate boxes 🐣🍫 delivered to Northamptonshire Health Charity for the children’s ward at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust 💚
This was another initiative set up by our late chairman Pummie and we will continue with this kind gesture in honour of him and to cheer up the kids on the ward during Easter - a time to be with family and mark the religious holiday. 💖

CONGRATULATIONS to Northampton IHWO on receiving the Queens Award of Voluntary service.

Our very own Amaretto's World was invited to the presentation and awarded a badge of recognition for her contribution to the annual Diwali Lights event.
The Queens Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to any voluntary sector organisations in the UK. IHWO deserve this for all their hard work over the past 25 years 🏅

🌳 HAPPY WORLD SIKH ENVIRONMENT DAY 🌳 EcoSikh
At the weekend close family of our late chairman, Pummie Matharu’s family visited this tree planted in 2018 initiated by him in joint partnership with Buddies of Beckets and on behalf of the entire Sikh community of Northampton. An intimate Ardaas (prayer) was held to thank Pummie for raising awareness of Sikh Environment Day, reminding us of our duty to the environment and to celebrate our wonderful planet 🌎

Everything about the festive season feels different this year as we celebrate without our dear Chairman Pummie, who loved Christmas so much! But if he could see the effort we’re making to keep NPA alive he’d be so proud 🎄

A huge thank you to our NPA volunteers, DJ & Am for remembering the children of Paddington Ward and gifting them with 100 chocolate gift boxes 🎁
