*** THANKS YOU'S ***

I would like to express my sincere and deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported this initiative by purchasing raffle tickets for the Bear and his memorabilia bundle. Your generosity has been truly inspiring.
The Raffle will be drawn at 9am tomorrow morning.

I am equally thankful to all those who welcomed the Bear throughout the year. Your time, encouragement, thoughtful contributions, and the the many wonderful photographs of his adventures have added immeasurable value to this journey.

When I first launched this idea, my primary goal was to raise funds to support the armed forces community and our veterans.
As the year progressed, however, it became clear that the Bear had grown into something far more meaningful. Many hosts embraced him as part of their family, using his presence to promote their work and spark conversations. He became not only a symbol of support but also a powerful icebreaker, helping to connect people and spread awareness of SSAFA’s mission.

While fundraising has always been at the heart of this project, the visibility and recognition it has brought to SSAFA have been equally impactful.

Finally, I would like to extend special thanks to Sarah and Jason from the Northampton Branch, and to Gayle and Natalie from higher management, for their support and dedication in promoting the Bear’s travels in recent months. It would not have been possible without their invaluable input.

This journey has not always been easy, but it has been deeply rewarding. My hope is that it has succeeded both in raising vital funds and in amplifying the message of support for our armed forces community.

Thank you all once again
Sarah Butlin

So, you wanna know what's in the loot box? πŸŽ‰ Well, let me give you a sneak peek... but not too much, I'm a tease! 😏 Check out the size of that tub - it's like a treasure chest! And, yep, you get to keep it too! 🎁
As for the goodies inside, think: framed print, unframed prints, signed unframed prints (fancy!), drinking bottle and mugs, badges, stickers, keyrings, bags, fidget toys, postcards, pin badges, magnets, 3D model... and, of course, a special appearance by yours truly! πŸ˜‰

Well, at least I only have 3 more days to go before I can finally find my new forever home and start a new chapter in my life. I'm beyond excited to meet my new host and get settled into my new surroundings. Here's hoping they don't dress me up like this for special occasions or, worse, for no reason at all! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll let me be myself and not try to change me too much. Fingers crossed it's going to be a great experience! 🀞

As I sit here reflecting on my time spent with my hosts, I'm thinking of all the friends I have made across the different services.
From the Royal Air Force to the Army and then to the Navy, those who have lost loved ones, family members, and close friends in the line of duty. I'm reminded of the sacrifices they've made, the pain they've endured, and the bravery they've shown in the face of unimaginable loss. My heart goes out to each and every one of them, and I'm honoured to have had the privilege of sharing in their stories and experiences, no matter how brief our time together may have been.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of being at the start of the Remembrance Parade, surrounded by a sea of people who came to pay their respects to the fallen heroes. Although I was unable to take part in the actual march past (no bears in bags allowed, I was a bit disappointed but understood the rules), my host took part, proudly remembering her father Cpl Bottomley from the Royal Logistics Corps, who had served the country with honor and distinction. It was a moving experience to see her march alongside other veterans and serving personnel, and I felt grateful to be a part of this special event, even if only as a spectator. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of pride, gratitude, and nostalgia, and I felt honoured to be a part of it.
