The secret is out!
Austin is Northamptonshires finalist for the BBC poetry competition that he wrote for performing at Drama festivals.
He will be performing his poem on the Waterfront Stage during the opening of Latitude Fesitival! 🎉
How cool is that?

He was interviewed for BBC Radio Northampton last week and featured on yesterday’s breakfast show!

As you can see... he had the time of his life!

Next stop... Latitude Festival! Woo Hoo 🙌

Our annual AGM was held yesterday and here I would like to share our chairman's (chair lady's) report with you:

🎼🎭 As we conclude this remarkable year, it is with great pride that I report on the success of our 49th annual Festival. Over nearly five decades, this Festival has become a cornerstone of our community, and this year was no exception.

🎼🎭 We witnessed exceptional talent, passion, and dedication in both music and drama, all contributing to a truly inspiring event.

🎼🎭 This success is a direct result of the unwavering support and dedication of our Festival committee. I extend my deepest gratitude to each committee member. Your tireless efforts, careful planning, and passion have made this Festival not only possible but truly exceptional.

🎼🎭 I also wish to acknowledge the generosity of our sponsors, the tireless work of our volunteers, and the support of our performers, teachers, and audiences. Together, you have created something truly special.

🎼🎭 I am pleased to announce that the 2027 Festival will be held at The Deco in Northampton, spanning three full days. Our adjudicators have already been appointed: our music adjudicator will be Brian Husband, and our drama adjudicator will be Rosalind Taylor.

🎼🎭 Next year will be a significant milestone as we celebrate our 50th Festival, and with your continued commitment, I am certain we will make it a truly unforgettable year.

🎼🎭 Thank you all once again for your invaluable contributions, and I look forward to the exciting year ahead.

On the last day of volunteer week we want to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers 👏👏🏾

If you are a teacher, parent or performer for whom the Festival has give your students your children or you the chance to perform and you would like to offer your support to the Festival please get in touch 🎶🎭 as without volunteers the Festival would simply not exist

The Festival is a charity run entirely by volunteers and if you value the Festival as a parent, teacher or entrants and want to offer your support as we head toward our 50th year - we would love to hear from you

We have a range of piano classes today - please arrive at least 15 minutes before your class start time to ensure you are ready and seated before the class starts as this will help the classes to run smoothly 🎶

We are looking forward to seeing everyone today - we have an exciting first day starting with a school choir performance to open the Festival followed by monologues, duologues and group scenes across the afternoon/evening then a Mixed Music session including instrumental and vocal performances from all ages
