Workbridge is deeply saddened to share the loss of the amazing Stuart Whitney
Stuart worked at Workbridge for many years and brought joy to so many service users and people in the community through his magic that was Woodturning.
He was a true craftsmen and could turn just about any piece of wood into something extremely beautiful.
His calm, joyful and creative approach brought hope and a new skillset to hundreds, if not thousands, of people who felt there was no hope left. I have no doubt he has saved many lives along the way.
There were no barriers in Stuart’s world, just solutions. When others were unsure something could be achieved, Stuart would smile and say ‘we’ll find a way to make that work’ and we always did.
As a colleague and a friend to so many of us, he brought kindness, fun and sparkle to our days.
To say we are all heartbroken is an understatement. No one will ever fill the Stuart-shaped hole left in our hearts.
We are all so lucky to have been on this planet at the same time and to have had the privilege to know someone so special.
Stuart leaves behind a wife, three children, step children and grand children.
We want them to know that the Workbridge community is here to support as much as we possibly can and send our heartfelt condolences and strength at this time.
I hope Stuart is out there somewhere knowing how much he is loved and is in Woodturning paradise until we all meet again for a natter a cup of tea. 💔
