It’s been a fantastic summer at Springs Family Centre, filled with new experiences, fun, friendship and opportunities for children, young people and families across our community.
Throughout the summer holidays, our young people have been able to take part in a brilliant programme of activities – from trips to the cinema and Gravity, to cooking sessions, bike safety activities, shared meals and plenty of opportunities to simply spend time together, have fun and make memories.
But behind every activity is something even more important.
Our summer programme has provided young people with safe and positive spaces to connect, build confidence, try something new and develop relationships with trusted youth workers and each other. Whether they were learning new skills, cooking together, enjoying a day out or sharing pizza with friends, every experience has helped us continue building a community where young people feel welcomed, valued and supported.
None of this would have been possible without the organisations and individuals who generously supported our summer programme.
We would like to say a huge thank you to BBC Children in Need for their continued support of our youth work; Northamptonshire Community Foundation's Constance Travis Community Fund for supporting our Prevention celebration and cinema trip; JD Sports Foundation for providing pizzas; Grow, Cook, Eat for supporting our cooking session; McConnell / Julian Sanz for making our Gravity trip possible; and West Northamptonshire Council, Family Hubs and Hafi Rahman for supporting the Dr Bike Safety event.
To every funder, partner, volunteer, youth worker and family who has been part of our summer – thank you for helping us create a summer our young people could enjoy, experience and remember.
We can't wait to see what the next season at Springs brings. 💚
