šŸŽ¶ We are excited to welcome organist Shanna Hart to the Cathedral on Wednesday 17th June at 1pm.

Shanna is Director of Music at St Botolph-without-Aldgate, London. Prior to this she was Organ Scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge, where she was involved in several CD recordings, and has also played for the choirs of Robinson and Homerton Colleges, and St John’s Voices (the mixed choir of St John’s College, Cambridge). Daniel Moult will perform a concert on the restored 1884 Nicholson Organ of the Great Hall at Castle Ashby House on Saturday, 6th June at 7 pm.

Daniel is an acclaimed international concert organist, Head of Organ Studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and architect and presenter of the iconic series The English Organ (Fugue State Films). His concerts are enjoyable and entertaining, and the programme is scheduled to include well-known pieces - Bach’s iconic Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV565), Mozart’s London Suite (extracts) and Fantasia in F, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No.5, and Lemare’s arrangement of Bizet’s ā€˜Carmen’ Fantasy.

Tickets are held at the 2022 prices of £25 (plus booking fee), including interval refreshments, and can be obtained from www.ticketsource.com/castle-ashby-parochial-church-council. The capacity of the Great Hall is strictly limited - book now to secure your tickets!

All tickets must be booked in advance, please, and will not be sold at the door. Please note that Castle Ashby House is an historic private home which is not normally open to the public. The House has very limited access for guests with mobility difficulties. Access to the Great Hall and to the washrooms is only available via flights of stairs.

You can find details of our forthcoming events, including our Members' CD and Video afternoon on 14th February, and our exciting visit to Eton and Windsor in May - if you'd like to join us then, early booking would be very much appreciated.

You can also find information about other organ and choral events in and around Northamptonshire and Peterborough, including our President-elect Chris Strange's,(DoM at Peterborough Cathedral Choir) forthcoming performance of his transcription of Holst's The Planets suite in February as part of the Peterborough Cathedral Luke Jerome installation - not to be missed.
