Did you know The Lewis Foundation Coffee Shop at The Elgar Centre is open on Sundays? ❤️

You'll find us open from 8.30am until 2pm, serving freshly made breakfasts, hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and everything else you've come to know us for. Whether you're heading down to the playing fields, walking the dog or simply after a slow start to the day with a proper coffee in hand, there's one more day of the week to come and sit with us than you might have realised.

As always, all purchases help fund the free gift packs we deliver to adults diagnosed with cancer in hospital, so a relaxed Sunday morning goes further than you might think.

We are proud to be supported by PHOENIX-Pcn, they have been fantastic in raising awareness and funds to provide our free gift packs and support to adult cancer patients at Luton & Dunstable Hospital and Bedford Hospital.

Great to welcome our long term supporters Amazon.co.uk BHX/3 and Scott Bader Commonwealth team who volunteered their time to help prepare and package our free gift packs and support for adults diagnosed with cancer in hospital.

Both are long term Lewis Foundation supporters who support in numerous ways whether it is fundraising, raising awareness, product donations or volunteering their time.

The team helped us to prepare all the packs ready to be collected by Amazon who are supporting us with deliveries this week and helping us to get gifts to our hospital partners Milton Keynes University Hospital, Bedford Hospital, Luton & Dunstable Hospital, Cambridge Hospital and Northampton General Hospital.

Thank you to our volunteers Lynne and Nat for running these sessions. We couldn’t do it without you ❤️

Every hour booked in our Willow and Oak Rooms goes further than you might think, because the income helps fund the free gift packs we deliver to adult cancer patients and their families across the Midlands.

Pictured is the Oak Room ready for its next booking, alongside the Willow Room during a strength and balance class.

Regular groups and clubs can book Willow from £18 per hour and Oak from £24 per hour, with one-off social and corporate bookings at £24 per hour for Willow and £36 per hour for Oak. ❤️

It begins in a care home somewhere in the Midlands, with someone picking up their needles and choosing colours they hope a stranger will like. Weeks later, that same blanket is folded into one of our gift packs and handed to an adult cancer patient sitting through treatment, and it becomes one of the things they hold onto most.

We're endlessly grateful to the wonderful people who give their time to make these for us, because their kindness travels so much further than they may ever realise. ❤️
