Great to have the Lowdown taking part..
🎅 We Know It's Only October, But...
We don't usually like mentioning the "C" word this early... 🎄🙈
BUT we're making an exception because registrations are now open for the Rotary Clubs of Northampton Santa Fun Run 2026, and we'd love to see as many supporters, families, friends and workplace teams as possible taking part for The Lowdown!
Taking place on Sunday 6th December 2026 at Northampton Racecourse, it's always a fantastic community event. Whether you run, jog, walk, stroll, push a buggy, use a wheelchair or mobility scooter, everyone is welcome. There's even a Santa suit and medal waiting for you at the finish line! 🎅🏅
The festive season can be a wonderful time, but it can also be difficult for many young people. Feelings of loneliness, anxiety and isolation often increase over the Christmas period and into January, making access to mental health support more important than ever. By taking part, you'll be helping to raise awareness and support young people across Northamptonshire who are facing mental health challenges.
We're particularly keen to hear from businesses, workplaces and community groups who fancy swapping their usual team-building day for a sea of red Santa suits and plenty of festive fun!
The Rotary Clubs organise this event entirely through volunteers to help local charities fundraise, and all sponsorship should be raised through the official Rotary fundraising pages.

💚 If you're signing up to support The Lowdown, let us know in the comments so we can cheer you on!
After all, it's never too early to do something amazing for young people's mental health... even if it is a little early for Christmas. 😉🎄
