We are a Community Foodbank in the heart of the Briar Hill estate in Northampton, UK.

The Foodbank is run by CSN in association with Northampton Adventist Fellowship. Each Wednesday, alongside the Foodbank, is a Community Cafe for all and Stay & Play session for children. All are welcome to attend and you never know, there might well be some scrummy free pastries & bread to take away also.

We are pleased to announce that we will finally reopen again tomorrow, Wed 7th Oct from 12pm til 2pm! 🥳🥳

As mentioned before though, we will be using a different referral system, only for NPH Tenants based in the Briar Hill and surrounding area. So if you live in the that area and have housing through NPH (Northampton Partnership Homes) then you can speak to your Housing Officer about a Foodbank Referral.

Please note that Foodbank Referrals are for people in Emergency Need, ie those who are in financial crisis and cannot afford food to feel themselves or their family.

We are closed again tomorrow, Wed 30th Sept.

However it looks like we will reopen again on Wed 7th October!

Whist we wait to confirm a date when we will reopening (hopefully in next few weeks) I just wanted to take some time to thank all who have made Briar Hill Community Foodbank a success since we opened in April 2021.

There are a number of volunteers to thank, so here goes:

Without these incredible volunteers we would not have lasted as long as we have.

Lastly to all who have donated to the cause, we thank you all. There are too many to name but they know who they are and we are eternally grateful.

Running of the Foodbank will now hand over to Jackie and Nicola and we wish them all the very best. News to follow in the coming weeks. :-)

Quick Update: Briar Hill Foodbank is still closed for the time being. We are still working on a new referral system which we hope will be good to go soon. But for now and the next few weeks at least, we remain closed.

The Hub at Briar Hill, which runs between 12pm and 2pm every Wednesday is still going ahead so you can still grab some free yummy bread/pastries/fruit/veg.

When we have any more updates we will let you know. Thank you.

From today onwards Briar Hill Foodbank will no longer be accepting referrals under the Re:Store system. We have worked with them for 5 years now and it's been great, but for now we will be working on a new referral system. So we will be CLOSED until further notice.

Once we have an update, we will let you know.

The community hub that runs alongside the Foodbank every Wed between 12pm and 2pm will remain open though, so feel free to still pop along to the Hub.

Due to illness and unavailability I'm afraid our FOODBANK at Briar Hill will be closed tomorrow, Wed 18th March 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: The Community Hub at the Community Centre WILL still be open tomorrow. It's only the Foodbank part that will be closed. So you can still get your hot meal and free bread, pastries, fruit and veg etc as usual.

There are other Foodbank distribution points you can visit if you have a referral code:

A big thank you to the shoppers at Lidl on Towcester Road for their continued support of our Foodbank. 1 particularly generous customer donated a whole trolly load of goodies! Very much appreciated.

A HUGE thank you to Northampton Vets4pets Hospital for their generous donation of pet food today.

Very often food poverty for pets can be forgotten and it's hard for Foodbank's to be able to afford to buy such products, so donations like the one today are such a blessing for us and our service users.

Our Foodbank is now closed until Wed Jan 7th 2026.

2025 has been another busy year for us and we are thankful to be able to continue to serve the community and to meet and help so many wonderful people.

A HUGE thank you goes to the regular volunteers.... Angela, David, Nicola, Charlene and Jackie. Without your continued dedication the Foodbank would cease to exist. Also a shout out to Wayne and Amy who continue to support us where/when needed.

A big hearty thanks also for the volunteers at the Hub who we work alongside each Wednesday. Shelley, Louise, Brett, Owen, Daryl , Ally and Natasha. You guys all do a great job and are a credit to the community.

We look forward to continuing the work in 2026. See you in January! 🥰
