This week we held our biennial City Mission Movement UK conference, and leaders and staff from 12 cities came together for a time of refreshing, learning, worship and fellowship. It was amazing to hear of all God is doing through urban mission across the UK.

We greatly appreciated the input from our session speakers, Rev Dr Jason Roach from London City Mission, Natalie Williams CEO of Jubilee+ and Andy Frost, Director of the Gather Movement, speaking on serving God, loving people and transforming our cities. Such helpful content!

We are also super grateful for the brilliant seminar speakers we had including seminars from Glasgow City Mission, Birmingham City Mission, London City Mission and Alexandra Huggins, CEO of Faith in Later Life. It was also poignant hearing from Charles Maasz, CEO of Glasgow City Mission, the first City Mission, as they approach their 200 year anniversary.

Lastly it was a great encouragement and privilege to hear from Dr Andrew Sears, President of City Vision University, in the USA, on the history of the global city mission movement. And we were honoured that his colleague and VP Richard McMillen flew over from the US to attend in person.

Over the last two days CEOs from City Missions across the UK gathered for their Spring residential, this time generously hosted by the oldest City Mission in the world, Glasgow City Mission, which celebrates its 200th birthday next year.

It was a great encouragement to have City Mission leaders attending this residential from Glasgow, Belfast City Mission, Birmingham City Mission, Worcester, Gloucester City Mission, Derby City Mission, London City Mission, Southampton City Mission and Brighton and Hove City Mission.

The leaders gathered for fellowship and refreshing, to pray together, strategise and to plan the City Mission Movement (CMM) conference which is scheduled for the autumn. Although all automomous charities, as members of the CMM it is a great encouragement to be in unity as we seek to see gospel transformation across the UK and Ireland.

Over the last two days leaders from City Missions across the UK gathered together for their autumn residential, hosted at Elim Pentecostal Churches HQ in Worcestershire.

It was a blessing to walk together, enjoy fellowship, pray and work through a strategy and plan for the coming years.

Today leaders of UK City Missions met for their autumn residential and visited the Good Soil Worcester in Worcestershire.

Wishing Brighton and Hove City Mission a very happy 175th birthday! Tonight they mark this momentous date with a special reception in Brighton as they reflect back over their history and also look to the future. We thank God for the work of Brighton and Hove City Mission.
