Brompton Players We are an amateur dramatics society based in Brompton near Northallerton. Our main production is our annual pantomime (Oh yes it is!).

🎭 **CASTING CALL !** 🎭

Due to one of our wonderful cast members having to drop out, we’ve unexpectedly found ourselves looking for a ‘Pippa’ for our November production of Bleak Expectations.

Could it be you? Or do you know someone who’d be perfect for the part? 👀

We’re looking for a female adult amateur actor (age isn’t too important) who can portray Pippa from childhood through to adulthood.

Pippa is intelligent, feminist, independently minded and the sister of our main protagonist. It’s a brilliant, fun part in a very funny show!

📚 Bleak Expectations is a hilarious mash-up spoof of Charles Dickens’ novels, based on the BBC Radio 4 series, and we’re already having a lot of fun rehearsing it.

📍 Rehearsals: Northallerton
📅 Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 7.30pm–9.30pm
🎭 Performances: 19, 20 & 21 November 2026 at The Forum

PRINCIPAL AUDITION DATE CHANGE!🚨

Due to unforseen circumstances the date and venue have changed for our 2027 pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk auditions, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause!

They will now be held at Romanby Methodist Church on Thursday 10th September at 7pm

New faces are very welcome! If you have already registered your interest you don't need to register again, but if you haven't yet it's not too late! If you would like to come along, please email [email protected] to let us know you're coming 😄

🎭✨ We have some exciting news! ✨🎭

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Brompton Players has been nominated for a NODA Performance Award for our production of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves!

We’re also incredibly proud that Ray Moores has been nominated for his fantastic performance as our Dame, Fatima Fandango. 🎉

Congratulations to everyone involved in the production – this is a wonderful achievement and something we’re all so proud of. Thank you to everyone who came along to support us, and fingers crossed for awards night! 🤞🏆

Think you’ve got what it takes to climb the beanstalk? 🌱

🎤 Details of both our Principal and Ensemble auditions will be announced very soon, so keep your eyes on our page if you’d like to be part of the adventure.

Whether you’re looking to tread the boards or simply join us in the audience, we can’t wait to bring Jack and the Beanstalk to Northallerton this January 2027.
