This rare surviving C54 Skymaster, which has WW2 , Korea and Vietnam service history,is going to be put back in the air where she belongs by the C-54 Skymaster Society - A charity is being formed Save the Skymaster so that vital funds can be raised to get it airworthy again. role in a movie about the Berlin Airlift; unfortunately the movie was dropped and the aircraft stayed behind in the UK. In addition there 2 spare engines available (1 x engine is low hours with 16 cycles) and all Logbooks are available for airframe, propellers & engines etc.. We need to raise £500,000 so that the engines can be rebuilt , propellers overhauled, fabric control surfaces recovered and all corrosion and under carriage overhauled. Our Story

This rare surviving C54 Skymaster, which has WW2 , Korea and Vietnam service history, is going to be put back in the air where she belongs by the C-54 Skymaster Trust - A registered charity, with the intention of teaching the history of this iconic aircraft and training new members and students to look after it for generations to come. She last flew some 18 years ago and has been parked up ever since. The airframe was pristine when it arrived for a starring role in a film about the Berlin Airlift, unfortunately the film was dropped and the aircraft stayed behind in the UK. In addition there 2 spare engines available (1 x engine is low hours with 16 cycles) and all Logbooks are available for airframe, propellers & engines etc.. We need to raise £800,000 so that the engines can be rebuilt , propellers overhauled, fabric control surfaces recovered, all corrosion rectified and the undercarriage overhauled. If you’re interested in joining us on this incredible journey and be part of the team who get this old War Horse flying please contact Allan Vogel on +44 (0)7769 934646 or [email protected].
