Welcome to Year 10 Evening!

A reminder that tomorrow evening is our Welcome to Year 10 Evening! We look forward to welcoming parents and carers of our Year 10 pupils to Norham High School.

The evening will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have, find out more about life in Key Stage 4 and learn how you can best support your young person as they embark on their GCSE years.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening and working together to support our Year 10 pupils throughout this important stage of their education.

GCSE Art & Photography Exhibition!

Just before the summer break, we held our annual Art & Photography Exhibition, celebrating the fantastic work produced by our talented GCSE pupils.

This year’s exhibition was nothing short of phenomenal! The display featured an incredible array of themes, ideas and final pieces, showcasing the determination, creativity and individuality of our pupils. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved.

Alongside the GCSE projects, we also displayed portraits created by our now Year 7 pupils during Transition Week. This exciting mini-project was inspired by local artist Jimmy Turrell, whose work draws inspiration from the North East and incorporates a fantastic range of mixed-media techniques.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our pupils and celebrate their work. We would also like to say a special thank you to our fabulous catering pupils and Mrs Bowers for their wonderful hospitality, including the refreshing iced tea!

It was truly a fantastic evening celebrating creativity across our school community. Well done to all of our amazing artists and photographers!

Year 11 Subject Evening!

Wednesday 9 September, 3:30pm–6:30pm

Parents and carers of Year 11 pupils are invited to meet with their child’s individual subject teachers to discuss their progress, attitude to learning and attainment ahead of their final GCSE exams.

An appointment system will be in place for this event and appointment links have been sent to parents and carers.

Welcome Back to a New Academic Year!

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the new academic year.

All year groups return to school on Wednesday 2 September at 8.25am. Pupils should arrive in full uniform and make their way to the Tennis Courts, where they will meet their tutors.

We look forward to seeing everyone and wish all our pupils a happy and successful year ahead.

We are reaccredited!

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to announce that our school has officially been reaccredited as a School of Sanctuary!

This award recognises our ongoing, everyday commitment to being a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for everyone especially those seeking safety.

To celebrate, a group of our amazing pupils attended the official awards ceremony.

They did an outstanding job representing our school by:

Showcasing the incredible work we do here to foster empathy and belonging.

Leading inspiring discussions with stakeholders, other schools and community leaders.

Modelling our incredible Threads of Courage art work, which is now residing in school reception.

Accepting our official certificate, which is now proudly on display in our main reception for everyone to see!

Baltic Youth Open Call 2026!

We are incredibly proud to announce that three of our talented pupils have been selected for the Baltic Youth Open Call 2026, supported by Fenwick!

This year’s theme, “Local,” is something our Creative Arts Department love exploring. Each of our young artists delved into the history, memories and nostalgia of our local area, weaving these ideas throughout their work.

The result? Three unique pieces that speak vividly about our local town, while offering a poignant reflection on where we’ve come from and how far we’ve come.

Their work will be exhibited at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art from 19 September 2026 until 11 April 2027 an incredible opportunity and a truly fantastic achievement!

We couldn’t be prouder of our young artists. Please join us in giving them a huge congratulations!

GCSE Results Day 2026!

Today, we celebrated another fantastic year of GCSE results, reflecting the hard work, determination and dedication of our Class of 2026 pupils.

We are delighted that so many of our pupils achieved the grades they needed to take the next step in their journey, whether that be into further education or an apprenticeship.

Congratulations once again to you all! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and wish you every success for the future.
