£10,000 for your children, their future... our future!
Norham High School is thrilled to announce the securing of a grant from the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority (NEMSA).
The grant is designed to support the school in helping pupils maintain strong rates of transition into Post-16 provisions and apprenticeships - leading directly to skilled employment. This will help us ensure continuity in the growth and development of our pupils well beyond the walls of Norham High. As you know, we aren't just preparing our pupils for the next steps post-16, to us it's all about what you are doing when you are 25...
With this grant, our fantastic local vocational offer can continue to grow. These are predominantly in the fields of Hair & Beauty but also Construction, where we plan to qualify each pupil with additional qualifications in Health & Safety and the CSCS Card (known as the "Trady Card") so they are ready for the world of work.
We are proud to work with and be supported by the NEMSA who state - "Our purpose is to connect communities, upskill people, and improve wellbeing, so the North East is recognised as an outstanding place to live, work, visit and invest."
From all the pupils, staff and the community of Norham High School, we wish to thank Neil Wllis (NEMSA) for supporting us, not to mention those at NEMSA and Kim McGuinness herself, North East Mayor - thank you!
