Here we are at Easter weekend again! This time of year seems to provide a sense of renewal whether in a seasonal or religious way.

This week at Oaktrees felt the same with a another busy week of Journey So Far presentations. These life stories are bonding and affirming, they allow honesty, vulnerability and discomfort to allow growth. It is an honour to be part of these stories.

Sometimes when I'm alone in the Oaktrees group room, I think about the number of Journey So Far presentations that have been made - maybe one of them yours. Though I've not heard many of them, I thank you all for having the courage to share them.

Part of recovery is stepping out of your comfort zone...we love to find unique ways to accommodate our peers! Here are some projects with Healthy Happy Places, the fish made a few weeks ago and installed at the Beacon Centre recently, and making felt flowers that now appear all over Oaktrees. How do you feel when you step out of your comfort zone? How do you cope with the anxiety?

An emotional day yesterday with a triple graduation! So many laughs and memories shared. It's amazing how impactful 12 weeks can be to a life.

All the best to all graduates from Oaktrees and any other recovery program. And if you didn't make it to your graduation yet, don't give up!
