🎵 RECORD CLUB at the Royal Quays Community Centre 🎵

Mudita Arts invites you to an evening of communal listening.

On Thursday 23 July (7–9pm) the record - and a chance to meet the artist! - will be Frankie Archer's 'The Dance of Death' on vinyl.

There’s something special about hearing an album the way it was meant to be heard - start to finish, in good company.

We're delighted to be co-hosting our first Empty Chairs Meet Up at Linskill Café, North Shields.

Empty Chairs is a community-led initiative that helps tackle loneliness by creating relaxed, low-pressure spaces where people can connect over a cuppa and conversation. There is no agenda, no need to book, and no expectation to stay for any set amount of time – simply come along and join us.

🚲🌟It's Age Without Limits Day! 🌟🚲

Today we join people across the UK in marking Age Without Limits Day 2026 – an annual opportunity to challenge ageism and celebrate the value, contributions and potential of people of all ages.

As part of the day, we're sharing a recent Telegraph article by Will Stoddard (18 May 2026), which explores how cycling can help people stay active and independent as they age, while potentially reducing the risk of dementia.

We're particularly proud that our Linskill Riders volunteer, David Henderson, was interviewed for the article and shared his own experiences of cycling and the positive impact it has had on his health and wellbeing.

The timing couldn't be better, as it also falls during Cycling UK's National Bike Week – a perfect reminder that it's never too late to enjoy the benefits of getting on a bike.

As Volunteers' Week 2026 comes to a close we wanted to say THANK YOU

Our volunteers are woven into everything at Linskill…the gardens don't look after themselves!

What often looks like a small task is always part of something much bigger: helping people feel welcome, creating opportunities, raising funds, building confidence, bringing people together and strengthening our community.

Headway Tyneside’s dance class is now at the Linskill Centre.

This class, especially developed for brain injury survivors, is an expressive, energetic movement class for adults of all abilities living with brain injury and their carers.

Using a range of dance techniques, music styles and themes to guide you through a fun-filled class. Sessions are free of charge but pre-booking is essential.
