🐾 LUNA’S STILL WAITING FOR HER ADVENTURE TO BEGIN! 💕

The gorgeous Luna is still waiting patiently for the family who will look beyond her busy paws and see the wonderful girl underneath. 🥹❤️

Luna is a just over one-year-old Yorkshire Terrier x Labrador who is full of energy, personality and enthusiasm for life. She’s an active young girl who is ready and waiting for someone to share plenty of adventures with her! 🐶🐾

The photos in this post show Luna enjoying some time out with one of our fabulous volunteers — and we absolutely love seeing her getting out, exploring and enjoying some quality one-to-one time. ❤️

Luna is looking for an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Long walks, adventures, games, training, enrichment and learning new things would all be right up her street. 🎾🧠🐾

She’s a clever girl and will benefit from a family who is willing to continue her training and help her develop those important life skills. Keeping her mind busy and making training fun and rewarding will be key to helping Luna thrive.

But once Luna has had her exercise and her brain has had a workout, she’s more than happy to settle down and enjoy some lovely cuddles. 🥰 She really is a gorgeous mix of fun, energy and affection.

We also feel Luna could benefit from having another dog in the home, pending a successful meeting. A friendly, confident canine companion could help show Luna the ropes and give her a four-legged friend to enjoy her adventures with. 🐕❤️

🐾❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO SPAR AHOGHILL! ❤️🐾

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Spar Ahoghill for choosing Barn Animal Rescue as their charity during their recent charity month fundraiser. 🥰

An incredible £661.89 was raised, and we are so incredibly grateful! 🎉👏

Customers and suppliers all got involved and chipped in to donate much-needed food and treats for our dogs and cats. 🐶🐱 Every single donation makes such a difference to the animals in our care, and we honestly cannot thank everyone enough for their kindness and generosity.

A very special thank you to Ruth and Rebecca for making this happen and for thinking of our rescue. ❤️

As expected the pups have proved to be extremely popular with almost 200 applications, therefore applications are now closed for review. To reiterate, there is no need to contact us, all applications will be reviewed.

Whilst pups always prove to be popular, we would urge people not to overlook our other dogs who are waiting for their forever home ☺️

🐾 FIVE LITTLE FACES, FIVE FOREVER PLACES! 🏡🐶

Get ready for five little bundles of puppy perfection! 🥰 Meet our adorable Schnauzer x Cocker Spaniel pups, who are just seven weeks old and will be ready for their forever homes very soon.

There are currently two boys and three girls looking for their forever families. ❤️

💕 Dolly – named after the legendary Dolly Parton!
💕 Billie
💕 Tiger

💙 The Boys
💙 Scooper
💙 Doughnut

With the exception of Dolly, Billie, Tigger, Scooper and Doughnut are all named after the famous Double Decker TV characters – we think their names are just as fun and full of personality as they are! 🥰

These gorgeous pups have already received their first vaccination and are microchipped. As part of the adoption process, they will also be spayed or neutered by one of our vets when they are old enough.

They can live with children aged six years and over and can also live with other dogs, subject to successful introductions. 🐕❤️

As you would expect from puppies of this age, their new families will need to be ready for the full puppy experience! 🐾 They will require all aspects of puppy training, including toilet training, basic commands, recall, lead training, learning good manners, appropriate socialisation and gradually learning how to settle and be left alone.

They will also need lots of patience, consistency and positive reinforcement as they learn what is expected of them. Puppies are incredibly rewarding, but they are also a big commitment, and their new families need to be prepared for the time and effort required during those early months.

As a Schnauzer/Cocker cross, they are likely to grow into bright, active and intelligent dogs, so keeping both their bodies and minds occupied will be important. Plenty of age-appropriate play, enrichment, training and interaction will help them grow into happy and confident adults. ❤️

We know these little faces will be very tempting, but please remember that bringing a puppy into your home is a commitment for their entire lifetime. We want to find families who are ready to love, train and care for them through every stage of their lives. 🐾

🐾 TEAGAN IS SCHNOODLING HER WAY INTO YOUR HEART! 💕🐾

Meet beautiful Teagan, a gorgeous 4-year-old Schnoodle — a Schnauzer x Poodle cross — who is hoping that her next chapter will be a happy one. 🥰

Teagan is a lovely girl who can be a little nervous and unsure, particularly when faced with new people and situations. Because of this, she’ll need a patient and understanding home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to find her confidence. ❤️

We feel Teagan would really benefit from having another friendly, confident dog in the home. Having a canine companion to show her the ropes, give her reassurance and help her learn that the world isn’t such a scary place could make a huge difference to her. 🐶🐶

Teagan can live with children aged 8 years and over.

She is fully vaccinated and microchipped. At the moment, we are looking for a foster home with a view to adoption. Teagan will be able to be spayed in approximately 2–3 months, and once she has been spayed, her foster family can move forward with adopting her, subject to our normal adoption process. 🏡❤️

We know that taking on a nervous dog requires patience, understanding and a willingness to let them progress at their own pace — but watching that confidence grow and seeing them finally relax and enjoy life is incredibly rewarding. 💗

Meet Mr Tux, he is a very special 14 week old boy who after developing an eye ulcer has had to have his right eye removed.
This hasn't stopped him from being full of fun with lots of kitten mischief.
He is a very loving boy who enjoys plenty of playtime followed by a cuddle.
We are looking for an understanding family who will give him all the time he needs to settle in and be himself.
A strictly indoor only home to avoid hazards and keep him safe.
He would probably enjoy the company of another young playful cat to help use up some of that kitten energy.

We’re sharing handsome Chad again because, unbelievably, this gorgeous boy is still waiting for the family who will finally make him theirs. 💔

Chad is a lovely Greyhound with a gentle nature and a huge amount of love to give. He’s ready to leave kennel life behind and discover what it’s like to have a cosy home, a comfy bed and people he can truly call his own. 🏡

He’s an affectionate boy who enjoys spending time with his humans, and we really hope someone will look beyond the fact that Chad is in rescue and see the wonderful dog waiting underneath it all.

Meet gorgeous Max, the adorable 9-month-old Pomchi who is hoping that his next chapter will be his forever one. 🥰

Max is a lovely young boy who has been very well cared for and, through no fault of his own, has found himself looking for a new home due to unfortunate circumstances. We would absolutely love to find this little chap the wonderful family he deserves. ❤️

At just 9 months old, Max is still very much a youngster and will need a family who understands that there is still plenty of training, learning and growing up to do. 🐾 He will benefit from continuing his basic training, learning good manners and having plenty of positive experiences to help him grow into a happy, confident adult dog.

Pomchis can be bright, lively and full of personality, and Max will need a home that can give him time, patience, attention and plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He would love to be included in family life and have people who will continue to guide him as he grows.

💛🐾 A HUGE THANK YOU TO THREE LITTLE FUNDRAISING SUPERSTARS! 🐾💛

We wanted to give a very special shout-out to Rory, Katie and Alex Chism, who have been busy helping raise an amazing £120 for our animal rescue! 🥰🐶🐱

These three superstars worked incredibly hard making delicious cookies and refreshing lemonade, before setting up their very own stand where they live to sell their goodies. 🍪🍋

We are absolutely blown away by their kindness, hard work and generosity. It is so lovely to see children getting involved and showing such compassion for animals in need. ❤️

Rory, Katie and Alex, you are absolute stars! 🌟 Thank you for choosing to support our rescue and for helping us continue to care for the animals who need us most.
