To all who came to our event today, many thanks for your company and conversation, and for all your great suggestions about what we'd like to see the network doing in future!

Suggestions included holding a musical event; regular meet-ups; information events; drawing classes; showcasing the different food cultures in Ards; and our absolute favourite (from one of the children): "Build a castle for me"!

Many thanks to Deputy Mayor Vicky Moore for supporting the event, to Donna Mukasa Nassuna for the great music, to Shibaji for the abundant and delicious food, to the PSNI neighbourhood team for taking part and meeting everyone, and to the Ards and North Down Council Good Relations team for making it possible!

We'll be back in touch about our next event (possibly castle-building) in the near future - but please get in touch if you have any suggestions for how to build the neighbourhood network!

Come and join us from 11.00 on Saturday morning, and let's talk over a coffee and snacks about how together we can build a welcoming, inclusive neighbourhood for all in Newtownards. With music from our friend Donna Mukasa Nassuna into the bargain!

Belatedly sharing these pictures from last Saturday's GRANDfest (Good Relations Ards and North Down Festival). What a fantastic event it was: vibrant, well attended, full of music and dance (Scottish, Irish, Indian and African), arts and crafts, good food and good company!

Thanks Giorgio Zarrelli for sharing these pictures!
