👏 Another brilliant session yesterday with the Turnaround Project! 👏

It was great to bring the group together for a workshop restorative practice at Alternatives Restorative Justice offices, with lots of meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and plenty of laughs along the way 💬

The session explored how restorative practices can be applied within our daily lives, relationships, and communities, highlighting the importance of communication, accountability, and support. 🤝

This session forms part of our continued partnership with the Turnaround Project on an ongoing project focused on domestic violence.

Always a privilege to have the opportunity to share the work of Not JustUs NI with amazing groups!! ⭐️

This week, Nicola and Faith delivered an insightful session on stereotypes with the Strive group. The discussion highlighted the importance of not judging a book by its cover, explored the different types of stereotypes, and examined ways they can be challenged and broken down. Faith generously shared her work on the Not JustUs NI programme, inviting the group to reflect on and discuss their views and opinions of the justice system. The session prompted some thoughtful and meaningful conversations.

💙 Blue Monday, the NJU way!

This week, we had the pleasure of sharing a dinner with a previous NJU cohort to mark Blue Monday- It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up, enjoy good food & music, and reflect together through restorative circles on the moments we’re proud of and the achievements we’ve made as a group! ⭐️

What might usually be the “bluest” day of the year became one full of connection, positivity, and community! 💙

At NJU, we know the power of coming together to share experiences, celebrate progress, and support one another- and there’s always room for more voices… If you want to be part of a group like this to learn, reflect, and connect, get in touch and join the journey! 💙

Navigating the system can be overwhelming. We promise, there are no “silly” questions when it comes to getting all the information you need.

Make sure you take the time to stop, think, question and write down as much key info as you need throughout the process. 💙

2025 has been a truly collaborative year for Not Just Us.

As our latest cohort programme came to a close, we took time to reflect on everything we shared and achieved together - the conversations, the learning, and the connections built along the way.

As a team, it’s been an insightful and deeply supportive journey, and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s been part of it. We’re already looking ahead with excitement as we prepare to begin our next programme in 2026. ⭐

Our programmes don’t just offer tools to help people feel more confident navigating the legal system, they also create a community of people who understand, listen, and support one another.

The justice system is complex, and if you don’t have a legal background - navigating it can be very overwhelming.

Everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered to stand up for themselves. That’s why Not JustUs exists! We’re a social enterprise and community in Northern Ireland, supporting people who have been affected by the justice system.

Our purpose is to rebuild trust, community and inspire systemic change in Northern Ireland so that justice works for everyone, not just a few.

From restorative justice workshops and wellbeing sessions to educational talks and group trips we create safe spaces for reflection, learning and growth.
