Bryson Recycling Bryson Recycling is the largest social enterprise waste management company in the UK. We operate 11 recycling centres, 6 in Donegal and 5 in Wales.



We began providing recycling services in 1993, with the launch of the Cash for Cans service and in 2001 launched a pilot kerbside box recycling service to 8000 households. Our services now include:

Kerbside box service to over 160,000 households, over 20% of Northern Ireland’s homes. This service is delivered in partnership with 4 local authorities: Antrim & Newtownabbey Dist

rict Council, Belfast City Council, Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council and Mid & East Antrim Borough Council. Operation of a MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) to process materials collected from a further 250,000 homes across 5 council areas. We provide a garden waste collection service in Conwy, Wales, and collect residual waste from households in the Antrim area in Northern Ireland.

As we head into the fourth week of , it's time to take a look around one of the most plastic-heavy rooms in the house... the bathroom! 🚿

Try making these small swaps in your bathroom routine:
✅ Switch plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles for shampoo bars
✅ Choose bar soap instead of liquid soap in plastic dispensers
✅ Use bamboo toothbrushes instead of plastic ones
✅ Try refillable deodorants and reusable razors
✅ Look for plastic-free packaging when buying toiletries

It's the third week of Plastic Free July so this week why not try buying food without plastic wrapping and having a plastic free picnic to make the most of the summer days! 🌞🌳

Try these simple things:
🥕 Choose loose fruit and vegetables instead of pre-packaged produce.
🛍️ Bring reusable shopping bags and produce bags on every trip.
🥛 Buy milk, juice and other products in glass bottles or recyclable packaging.
🥪 Pack lunches and picnic treats in reusable containers instead of cling film or single-use bags.
💧 Bring refillable water bottles and reusable cups for days out.
🍓 Shop local markets where you can often buy fresh food with less packaging.
🍴 Planning a picnic? Swap disposable plates, cutlery and straws for reusable alternatives.

It's the second week of Plastic Free July, and as promised, we have some helpful tips on how you can reduce single-use plastic waste in your day-to-day routine!

This week, why not focus on ditching single-use disposable cups? 🥤🚫

Instead, try:
✅ Switching to a refillable water bottle
✅ Keeping your bottle visible – stash one in your bag, at your desk, or in your car
✅ Mapping out free local water refill points when you're out and about
✅ Taking advantage of cafe incentives – many coffee shops offer discounts when you bring your own reusable cup, or you can sit in and enjoy your drink in a real cup
✅ Skipping the straw, or opting for a reusable metal or paper alternative
