We see this too often. Teach your child the sounds of the alphabet in order to START words as we read from left to right. We teach them to read without any pictures so they can't guess.

How We Help.

We are a Community Interest Company which is recognised by the Inland Revenue as a non-profit organisation able to accept donations. We are a group of volunteer educators, teachers and parents who can teach dyslexic children how to read, usually in a few short months with the help of their parents. We have all suffered the misery of a child unable to read. We have watched them take hours over simple homeworks and we have all shed millions of tears. Our children sat at the bottom of the class, unable to read for some unknown reason. However, scientific research proves that reading ability is not linked to IQ so we adopt a ‘back to basics’ approach, searching for the gaps in their knowledge and using a structured literacy programme in order to fill those gaps. We have all completed many years of dyslexia training and are delighted to say that in all our years of tuition, we have yet to find a child that we cannot teach to read.

We are prepared to take on kids from 6 years old or those who have finished Jolly Phonics. We continue to work over the summer holidays in order to prevent ‘learning loss’ and give them a head-start for September.
