A big thank you to Skincare Boutique for holding their ever-popular Bath Bomb Workshop with us on Saturday! 🛁✨

There were lots of laughs, plenty of creativity, and everyone had a fantastic time making their own beautiful bath bombs. The café smelt absolutely amazing throughout the day and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves.

Thank you to everyone who joined us – we can't wait for the next one! 💜

Today marks the start of UK Men’s Health Week.

Here at Platform 1, we’re proud to be the home of our Men’s Shed – a welcoming space where men can connect, learn new skills, share experiences, and support their wellbeing.

Being part of a Men’s Shed can help reduce loneliness and isolation, improve mental health, build confidence, create friendships, and provide a sense of purpose through shared activities and projects.

To celebrate Men’s Health Week, we’re opening our doors during tomorrow’s Men’s Shed session from 10am to 12pm. If you’d like to find out more, pop in for a chat, enjoy a free cuppa and a slice of cake from the café, and see what the Shed can offer you.

Everyone is welcome – whether you’re looking to meet new people, try something different, or simply have a friendly conversation.

What's Happening at Platform 1 This Week

There will be no Well-being Wednesday session this week, but it will be back next week.

🎨🌼 Another week of creativity at Platform 1 and our participants have been keeping us on our toes!

Our Thursday Senior Socials enjoyed some beautiful flower drawing, while our Well-being Wednesday group got stuck into painting rocks, wooden signs and even bees 🐝🎨.

But the award for "Most Unexpected Masterpiece" has to go to one participant who looked at a carrot-shaped mould and thought... "That would make a great fish!" 🥕➡️🐟 And honestly? They weren't wrong!

At Platform 1, you never quite know what we'll be creating next – that's all part of the fun. From flowers to fish and everything in between, there's always plenty of laughter, imagination and paint involved!
