The Riverside Centre

The Riverside Centre The Riverside Centre, opened in 1995, has served the older people of Newton Stewart and the surrounding area for nearly 20 years.

Open weekdays, the Riverside provides a place for older people to meet and chat with friends in warm, comfortable surroundings whilst enjoying a balanced meal freshly made on the premises. With several of our members coming from rural areas outwith the town, buses with wheelchair access are available to transport people to and from the centre 5 days a week. A variety of activities and trips are fr

equently organised by members and staff alike varying from theater trips to Glasgow to weekly Tai Chi lessons in the centre itself.
