Women of Minnigaff and Newton Stewart

Women of Minnigaff and Newton Stewart W.O.M.A.N.S. (Women of Minnigaff & Newton Stewart) is a group of women who are fed up with folks slagging off our town and want to do something about it.

We decided to start this page when someone who might have bought a business in the town said it was too run down to consider it. We, as a group, mainly women but men are invited to, have decided to try and help the look of the town and try to get the empty shops filled and make it a more attractive place to visit. We know it will be difficult with limited funds available but with the determination

of the Women of Minnigaff & Newton Stewart we wont give up trying. Any ideas that anyone has or just wanting to help (male or female) let us know.

Just an update to last nights fantastic Bingo Night in The Vibe. Total now confirmed at £1640.00 raised on the night with a further £185.00 in monetary donations
Thanks once again for everyone. We will make Newton Stewart 'pop' this summer.

What an absolutely fantastic night at the Bingo in The Vibe.
Thank you to the 110 folks that turned out to help us raise funds for the Group to purchase plants for Albert Street Gardens and Memorial Gardens as we are not receiving any plants from the Council as in previous years.
Thank you to all members of the Group who turned out to help and brought baking, especially the ladies who wrapped all the prizes, the businesses who donated goods and vouchers and Tracy McGaw for being the ultimate professional bingo caller.
The final total raised on the night was
£ 1603.50 but this will rise when we add on the monetary donations we were given and we will put the final total on here tomorrow.
Thank you all once again.
