Good morning

We have two confirmed cases of Covid and one potential case being tested, within our staff team.

As this strain is particularly infectious and also includes diarrhea and sickness, we are asking that anyone with cold or flu like symptoms and/or stomach bug symptoms, does not come on to site and contacts Martin and myself as soon as possible.

As we are aware that many of out families and pupils may be vulnerable if in contact with this strain, we would like to give you the option of online learning today.

Should we find our staffing levels to be below a satisfactory level for the safety of pupils and staff, we may need to move to online learning for all pupils but will confirm this with you, as necessary.

We ask all staff and pupils to be vigilant with hand washing at all times and will keep pods well ventilated.

Thank you for your understanding and support in safeguarding all and minimising the spread of this Covid strain.

We are recruiting for the autumn term:

Learning Facilitator: Working alongside other Learning Facilitators and our teachers you will work in small groups or occasionally 1:1 with our users delivering therapeutic activities, and supporting them with their learning.

English Teacher: Our English Teacher will be responsible for delivering a bespoke individualised academic English timetable for our students covering KS2-KS4.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

You have all helped R become who he is today. From the moment I stepped foot into the magical woods I knew R had to be in this school. I cannot thank the staff, past and present, for building R up in every way. Helping him navigate the hard times and celebrating the small wins and the good times. We all wish he could stay another year!

But don’t worry we will be back!!

After a long joint effort involving lots of paperwork, inspections and a metal reinforced cupboard. Candidate 0001 sat Running Deer’s 1st GCSE done in our own right. Thanks to Jo, Andy, Martin, Emma, Sophie, Geraldine and the candidate for getting us this far! And to Teign School for getting us out of a hole last year!! Thank you!
