Chudfridge now has 2 vacancies for regular drivers plus we need occasional Back Up Drivers:
Every Friday, anytime up to 1pm, Kingsteignton Lidl, starting December 9th.
Every Wednesday at 3.30pm promptly, HITs Foodbank, Kingsteignton, starting November 12th.
BackUp Drivers to fill in occasionally for regular driver sickness and holidays.
You will receive an alert from me every time. You will join the WhatsApp Drivers group. The role is simply to collect the boxes of food and unload them to the appropriate chilled fridge, unchilled fridge or sealed boxes.
This will be decided on a first come, first served basis, so if you can help with any of the positions please email Mandy Cole, Chudfridge Lead, at [email protected] .
It is important that we fill these vacancies. Lidl and HITs have been donating food to us for some years now, and we hate food waste!

Hard to believe that the ChudFridge has now been running for 6 years ! We were the first in Devon at the time we started.

This would not be possible without all the dedicated volunteers who have made it happen.

Some of you will know that the Coop had to close today because of technical issues !!

This means that the ChudFridge currently has their entire stock of fresh bread (French Sticks and Loaves, Rolls etc.), Cakes etc. that would have normally been sold in the shop.

I would have put up a photo but forgot my phone earlier.

Please don’t let it all go to waste !!

Over the last few days the plastic boxes that we put the food in at the ChudFridge have disappeared. Normally there are four boxes.

One disappeared on Tuesday, another on Wednesday !!

The idea is you take the food - Not the boxes !!

If you could return the boxes to the ChudFridge it would be most helpful and if you see anyone walking away with the boxes maybe you could politely ask them to put them back !!
