Through our charity services, we’ve had the privilege of helping countless children, parents, young people with mixed ability and seniors to reach their full potential. We support ordinary people facing extraordinary challenges from early years right through to later years. With an uncompromising, people-first approach, we go the extra mile to complement existing services. In our social enterprise, our products are lovingly handcrafted by young adults of mixed ability and all profits go back into supporting our vital work. We help our candle makers reach their full potential, empowering them to work within a group to feel connected, valued, and purposeful.

100% of profits go to Bolster which in turn provides supportive programmes to our candle makers and other groups in the community from varied walks of life 💜

Look what can be achieved through partnerships when young people are given the chance and resources to succeed!! 🤝

Thanks to funding from the Department for the Economy NI’s Apprenticeship Inclusion Challenge Fund, Bolster Community and St Paul's Bessbrook were able to provide targeted interventions that recognised the unique strengths, aspirations and support needs of young people with Special Educational Needs as they progressed towards adulthood.

✨ Last night was our launch event for NO FILTERS!! ✨

A project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body - SEUPB. A huge thank you to both for making this programme possible, and to Three Ways Community Association and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for all of your support 💜

NO FILTERS is designed to support young people aged 12–18 to build confidence, develop life skills and make meaningful connections. Through a range of fun, interactive activities focused on wellbeing, communication, leadership and teamwork, participants will have the opportunity to shape the programme around the issues that matter most to them, creating a positive environment to learn, grow and thrive. Watch this space for more!! 😉

Paula was delighted to attend the Positive Ageing Event by Confederation of Community Groups Ballybot House (thank you for organising!) and chat with Siobhan Casey Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland who was keen to find out about our Home2Hospital and Social Kitchen Services. 🙌

Lots of familiar faces (and lots of new ones) popped by to say hello and find out about our senior services.👋

What’s Autism Connect all about? Well, it’s in the title! 💜

Autism Connect is all about connecting with other autistic adults in a safe space, having fun and growing as individuals, together. Our Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry hubs meet weekly for a cuppa and games.

More recently, Craigavon has been snowtubing while Banbridge & Newry have been playing table tennis! Check out these fantastic snaps 📸 😉
