🌎 International Credit Union Day takes place on Thursday 15th October, and we are giving away £1,500 between 3 lucky schools.

Teachers’ Credit Union celebrates this day each year by supporting local schools and this year is no different! Three people will win £500 for an NI school or nursery/playgroup of their choice!

🎒 We will be awarding £500 each to one Primary School, one Secondary School and one Nursery School or qualifying Playgroup* in Northern Ireland.

🍂🎃 THE OCTOBER CHALLENGE: BE MORE 4! 🎃🍂

Mums, Dads, Grannies, Grandads… we have a challenge for you! 👀

This October, we want you to forget being a grown-up for a little while…and see October through the eyes of a 4-year-old. ❤️

Because when you’re four:

A puddle is an adventure.
A stick is a sword.
A leaf is treasure.
A cardboard box is a house.
And a butterfly absolutely MUST be chased. 😂

So, for four weeks, we’re giving you four very simple challenges.

🍂 WEEK 1 — GET MUDDY

Get your wellies on and go puddle jumping!

Find the biggest puddle.
Jump in it.
Make a splash.
Get muddy.

Don’t worry about the clean clothes. 😂

🦋 WEEK 2 — GO ON AN ADVENTURE

Head outside and see what you can find.

Chase a butterfly.
Collect conkers.
Find interesting leaves.
Spot a bird.
Find the biggest stick.
Look for something you’ve never noticed before.

Let your 4-year-old decide what counts as an adventure.

🍁 WEEK 3 — MAKE SOMETHING

No Pinterest perfection required! 😂

Build a den.
Make a leaf picture.
Create a mud kitchen.
Make a magic potion.
Build something from sticks.

Let them lead. You just join in.

❤️ WEEK 4 — JUST BE TOGETHER

Put the phone away.

Get down on their level.

Read a story.
Have a cuddle.
Bake something.
Go for a walk.
Lie under a blanket and chat.

Give them 15 minutes of your completely undivided attention.

No rushing.
No multitasking.
No “in a minute”.

Just you and them.

Because sometimes the best thing we can give our children isn’t another activity…

it’s our time. ❤️
