💜 All funds raised will support the work of Head Injury Support, helping us continue to support brain injury survivors, carers and families.

A massive thank you to the organisers of Kilbroney Vintage Show for raising vital funds, donated to Head Injury Support, along with 13 other amazing charities.

Service Delivery Manager, Laura-May Jennings, and Trustee, Carole Murphy had the pleasure of accepting the cheque Friday evening, pictured below.

For small charities like ours, every donation really does make a difference. Community fundraising helps us continue providing vital support, activities and opportunities for people living with acquired brain injury, their families and carers.

Every pound helps us keep our doors open, reduce isolation and provide a welcoming community where survivors can build confidence, friendships and a sense of purpose. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports our work 💜

Kilbroney Vintage Show 2026 raised £45,100 for good causes :)

The event was organised and delivered by the Kilbroney Vintage Show committee in partnership with Newry Lions Club. Fourteen charities took part, with more than 100 volunteers contributing their time and support to help the show run smoothly. Thanks to their collective effort and the generosity of those who attended and supported the event, that £45,100 has now been distributed among the participating charities.

📢 CENTRE CLOSURE NOTICE

Just a little heads-up that the Head Injury Support Centre will be closed on Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd & Thursday 24th September.

Nothing to worry about! 💜
Some of our team and survivors are away enjoying our Annual Holiday, while the rest of the team are taking the opportunity for a well-deserved rest and catch-up on admin.

We’ll be refreshed and ready to welcome everyone back when the Centre reopens to survivors on Tuesday 29th September.

We hope everyone on the Annual Holiday has a fantastic time, and we look forward to seeing you all again next week! 💜

🤝 Bridge – Building Connections Together

Head Injury Support is delighted to be collaborating with Brain Injury Foundation to deliver Bridge, an exciting programme of 11 shared sessions for brain injury survivors and carers.

Funded by the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland through its Collaborate Programme, Bridge is bringing members of both organisations together to meet new people, enjoy shared activities and build friendships in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We have already completed our first two sessions, with another nine sessions still to come. The programme will conclude with a special celebration event recognising the friendships formed, experiences shared and achievements made along the way.

We are very grateful to the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland for making this partnership possible 💜

We look forward to continuing our journey together and creating more opportunities for connection, confidence and belonging.
