This woman deserves a post all of her own! Deirdre, you are the most generous, kind-hearted, gorgeous lady, inside and out, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our Haven family!

We absolutely love you, your infectious craic, your fun-loving spirit, your Irish lessons, and your incredible ability to light up every room you walk into! You bring so much laughter, warmth, and joy wherever you go, and Haven wouldn’t be the same without you!

Wishing you a birthday filled with all the love and happiness you so deserve, plenty of laughter, a little Irish magic, and, of course, lots of craic!

A huge thank you to each and every one of you who joined us at The Haven on Saturday to support our Sale of Work event. Your time, kindness and continued support mean so much to us, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a lovely day.

A special mention and a big thank you to Jim for the delicious bakes, they were thoroughly enjoyed! And, of course, a heartfelt thank you to all of our extremely talented musicians for filling The Haven with such wonderful music and helping make the day even more special.

Throughout the week, we have also taken time to reflect on our memories of John following his anniversary. He remains very much in our thoughts, and it has been special to share those memories together.

As always, we enjoyed our usual quiz and bingo, with plenty of laughs, lovely conversations and, most importantly, wonderful company.

Thank you all for being part of The Haven and for continuing to make it such a warm, welcoming and special place to be.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon!

It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since we said goodbye to our dear friend John — a true member of The Haven family. 🤍

Today, we pause and reflect on the wonderful man we were so lucky to know. John’s spirit still feels very much a part of The Haven, and we can almost hear his cheerful “Hey doll!” or “Big un!” as he made his way through the room, tea towel over his shoulder, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.

Our Tea Towel Man, our Mr. Shaker, our perfect gentleman, always helping, always caring and always bringing a smile to those around him. John had such a gentle, thoughtful nature and a wonderful way of knowing when someone needed a kind word, a cup of tea or simply a little company.

He never missed a Wednesday at The Haven, and his presence brought so much warmth to our days. A year may have passed, but the memories remain — the laughter, the stories, the familiar sayings and all those little moments that made John, John.

We miss him more than words can say, but today we choose to remember him with love, gratitude and a smile. We feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many special moments with him.

John will always be part of The Haven family, and he will never be forgotten.

Always in our hearts. Always remembered.

What a fabulous few weeks we’ve had at the Haven!

We’ve been busy getting ready for our big sale this weekend, and it’s been wonderful seeing everyone getting involved. We’ve enjoyed Peter’s personalised quiz, music, Irish, arts and crafts, birthday celebrations and so much more.

Now it’s time for our Haven Sale Weekend!
