What a fantastic catch-up we had at The Haven this week!

We're really enjoying settling into our temporary new location while the ramp is being built for us. It's been wonderful to see everyone together, sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of smiles.

We also celebrated even more birthdays and made some great memories along the way. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special day.

What a fantastic week we had at The Haven!

Looking back through the photos, we’re reminded just how many happy moments we’ve shared together. From laughter during activities to friendly chats and fun sessions, it’s been a week full of smiles and good times.

We really are so lucky to have one another and to be part of such a warm, supportive group. Every week brings new memories and strengthens the sense of community we all share.

The Haven has created so many wonderful memories over the years, and every single one has been made possible by the amazing people who walk through our doors each week.

From singing sessions filled with laughter, to energetic Irish dancing, relaxing arts and crafts, inspiring talks from guest experts, fundraising events, and fun-filled trips out, every activity brings people together in such a positive and uplifting way.

The Haven is more than just a group. It’s friendship, support, encouragement, and community. It’s a place where people can feel connected, try new things, and simply enjoy being part of something special.

We've only just started June, and already we have so much positivity to celebrate at The Haven!

First, we'd like to wish a very Happy Birthday to the fantastic Jim and Niall! We hope you've both had a wonderful time celebrating your birthdays.

We've also enjoyed a hugely successful Paint with Kate session, with plenty of creativity, laughter, and some brilliant artwork on display. 🎨✨

Alongside that, we've had fantastic meetings already this month, filled with friendship, support, and great conversations. It's amazing to see our Haven community continuing to grow stronger together.

A big thank you to everyone who helps make The Haven such a positive and welcoming place. If this is how June is starting, we can't wait to see what the rest of the month brings! 💙

🎨✨ Creativity, laughter, friendship, and support — that’s what life at The Haven is all about.

Looking back at all the fantastic activities we’ve shared together really shows how much joy can come from simply spending time with others. Whether it’s creating beautiful artwork, learning something new in our cooking and baking classes, enjoying music and dancing, or heading off on exciting trips out, there’s always something happening to bring people together.

We’re proud to be a group where everyone feels included and valued. The Haven gives people the chance to make friends, build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy experiences they may never have tried before.

So grateful to our amazing team of volunteers.
There is The Haven, Newry, with the committee members Kate, Peter, Jackie, Sara and Deirdre, plus the extra support given by too many people to mention who help with taking photos, cleaning, washing up and everything else needed to keep The Haven running.
Then there is Betty, Jean, Carol, Jackie and Gladys who help with all the other activities.
It is a blessing to have so many people willing to help-and they all deserve to be celebrated!

📢 Important Venue Change Notice 📢

Due to improvement works at our usual venue, The Haven will be meeting at a temporary location for the next couple of weeks while a permanent access ramp is being installed.

Temporary Venue:
Newry Methodist Church

Newry

We are pleased that these improvements will help make our regular venue even more accessible for everyone in the future.

All activities and meeting times will remain the same. We look forward to welcoming you at our temporary home and thank you for your understanding and support during this transition.
