For children aged 6–8, Beaver Scouts is a place to explore, make friends, and discover what they’re capable of.

Each week, our Beaver Colonies burst with energy as children jump into games, challenges, outdoor fun and creative activities that build confidence and joy.

✨ What a Night at the Rathfriland Regeneration Christmas Fair! ✨

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who cheered on and supported 1st Rathfriland Scout Group and the Red Kite Explorer Unit at this year’s Christmas Fair. 🎄

Our young people worked their socks off in the run-up, crafting delicious treats and goodies for the stall – and wow, did they deliver! Big shout-out to Catherine and her amazing team Rathfriland Regeneration for giving us the chance to be part of such a festive community event.

👏 Special applause for our superstar sellers – Lauren, Vanessa, Darcey-Rae and our fearless head of sales, Rowan – who kept the stall buzzing all evening. And of course, a massive thanks to Darren, the wizard behind the till, making sure everything added up perfectly.

It was a night full of festive spirit, teamwork and community pride – and we couldn’t have done it without YOU.

Celebrating Trevor Hendren, after witnessing first hand at the recent Patrol Leader weekend training session, he really does put the young people at the heart and soul of everything!!

We were absolutely delighted to present Trevor with a YouShape Ambassador Award tonight 🏅

This very overdue award is in recognition of his wholehearted commitment to putting young people at the centre of everything he does.

Trevor’s work is defined by a deeply held belief in youth-shaped Scouting, visible in the way he listens to, champions, and uplifts the voices of young people across Northern Ireland.

Trevor’s influence has helped ensure that youth leadership is not just encouraged but embedded. 💥

With sincere appreciation, the Scouts NI Youth Team recognise Trevor as a dedicated advocate, an inspiring mentor, and a true champion of youth-shaped Scouting!
