πŸŽ„πŸŒŠ Happy Christmas from Love Your Lough πŸŒŠπŸŽ„

This Christmas Day, swimmers gathered along the shore in Rostrevor for the annual Charity Christmas Day Swim, bravely entering the cold waters of Carlingford Lough to raise funds for local causes and continue a much-loved community tradition.

Moments like this remind us how the Lough brings people together β€” connecting community, wellbeing, and a shared love for this special place.

Thank you to all our followers for celebrating and protecting the Lough with us. Wishing you a peaceful and happy Christmas.

🌊 Warrenpoint Pier after the tide went out.

A large number of plastic bottles washed ashore recently β€” not a great sight, but a reminder of why local actions matters so much.

Every clean-up, every refill, every small change helps keep our lough moving in the right direction. Together, we can make sure what washes up here looks very different in the future.

Storm Bram has left its mark on the shores of Carlingford Lough πŸŒŠπŸ—‘οΈ

After the recent storms, large amounts of rubbish have been washed up around Carlingford Lough, reminding us just how quickly waste can return to our coastline.

The good news? Small actions make a big difference. If each of us took just two minutes on our next walk to pick up a few pieces of litter, we could dramatically improve the beaches and shoreline around the lough.

Grab a bag, gloves, pick up what you can, and help protect this beautiful place for wildlife, locals, and visitors alike. Every small action counts. πŸ’š
