y of us, in Barrack Street, Linen Hall Square in 1868. His Birth marked the birth of football in Newry. Our Project want to develop a Charity based on the values Celtic Football Club are renowned for worldwide, and adapt them to help the most marginalised groups in OUR community. Our aim is:
· (Health), to help Deliver community-based projects that support health & wellbeing
· (Equality) conflict resolution, reconciliation and the promotion of religious and racial harmony, equality and diversity
· (Learning) the advancement of education and diversionary activities
· (Poverty) employability and the prevention or relief of poverty

We aim to do this by tracing the roots of football in Newry right back to 1868, by collecting and showcasing audio and visual content, old photos, films and interviews, from Willie Maley, to Jack “Baldy” Reynolds right through to Aimee Mackin and many more local sporting heroes. For many of us, Football has been a Force for Good, our aim is to showcase this to the wider sporting world by to immortalising the stories of our local sporting heroes on paper and screen.
